EYE ON SION
We've all had a chance to review the Goldstone Report. Clearly we got the answers we had all expected.
South African jurist Richard Goldstone led the The United Nations Human Rights Council(UNHRC) investigation into war crime violations the Israeli/Palestinian Gaza conflict during December and January 2009. Gladstone, a noted Zionist and Pro-Israel supporter came to the task highly recommended for his work in the Rwanda struggle as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Along with the recent findings of Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem, the Goldstone Commission Report has concluded the following;
Disproportional Response:
Carpet bombing 24/7 without sparing even hospitals, schools and UN shelters, Israel turned its full, lethal force against a besieged and defenseless population in Gaza.
Israel “punished and terrorized” civilians in Gaza in a disproportionate attack in its three-week offensive on the narrow strip of the land cut off from the rest of the world.
“Actions amounting to war crimes, and possibly in some respects crimes against humanity, were committed by the Israel Defence Force,”
“shooting of civilians holding white flags the deliberate and unjustifiable targeting of UN shelters and the killing of over 300 children whilst the Israeli Army had at their disposal the most precise weaponry in the world”
Today I caught Steve Lendmans nice update piece on status of the Investigation.
The timeline seems eerily familiar.
JERUSALEM (AFP) US envoy in Mideast as Abbas warns Israel over settlements– US envoy George Mitchell arrived in the Middle East on Tuesday to try to save peace talks as Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas said Israel would be to blame if negotiations collapsed over settlements.
Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton discussed the moratorium by telephone late Monday in talks the State Department spokesman described as "very significant, very detailed, very direct."
"The prime minister understands what our policies are. We understand his ongoing political difficulties," said Crowley, who has praised Abbas for showing "restraint" and not yet backing out of the negotiations.

Settlement building moratorium, peace talks, and then the murders of hundreds of Palestinians. Someones priorities have gone askew. Unless that real estate is to kill for. I better call my agent and I might send a letter of encouragement to Richard Goldstone to keep the heat on and tell him how sorry I was to hear this news earlier this year.
