DEBATES WITH THE TWO CORPORATE OWNED CANDIDATES

Minneapolis -- The Michael Cavlan for Congress Campaign is extremely happy to announce that consumer advocate and four-time Independent Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader has endorsed Independent Congressional Candidate Michael Cavlan for House of Representatives in Minnesota 5th District.

Mr. Nader contacted the campaign writing:

"Michael Cavlan -- so knowledgeable, so perceptive, so committed to a deliberative democracy is the Congressional candidate to support in the 5th district if you want "people" and "justice" to have a chance. Demand that Michael Cavlan participate in the debates with the other candidates. You'll see for yourself that he is truly of, by, and for the people."

Cavlan said, "We are deeply honored to have Ralph Nader give us such a powerful endorsement". Cavlan has a history of being a hard-hitting, no holds barred champion of working men and women. He also said, "We are committed to living up to Ralph Nader's endorsement, his words will be a source of inspiration to all of us working to improve conditions, not only in the 5th district but also in the entire nation."

Ralph Nader has stated, "There's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans". The people of Minnesota recognize that. During the Minnesota State Fair this year I spent time behind the counter in a booth. People who stopped by said they don't want the choices they have before them in the November elections.70% of those people said they would vote for an independent candidate. All of those people recognize that the present two-party system of governance in this nation has failed the people of the United States and many of them have the courage to challenge it.

We now offer a challenge to all the candidates presently running for office, to debate the issues relevant to the people of the 5th District.

This is a treatise on cynicism…er, could be circumcision.  Nah, just kidding.  In a time not too long ago I was witness to one of the most spot-on raging cynical geniuses I’ve had the pleasure to read.  This guy has the instincts of a panther, and the verbal weapons to finish the job.  Now I know him as…the Laughingstock?!  Ha Ha Ha!!!  A joke on us all?  Life has its incongruities doesn’t it?

This is one activists story. However, I don't doubt that it was repeated over and over again, all over the country. In fact I know it was. This is a damning indictment of our nation and is symptomatic of a deeper rot here. If we are to ever climb out of this mess we find ourselves in then it needs to be dealt with. However, before I begin I would like to extend a hearty and heartfelt thank you to president Barack Obama for making my case so well.

In 2005, the Ward Eight city council race was arguably the most hotly contested in Minneapolis. The primary featured 10 candidates — more than any other ward in the city. The principal reason for this electoral scrum: there was no incumbent candidate. A controversial redistricting plan had lumped council member Robert Lilligren into Ward Six with fellow incumbent Dean Zimmerman.

Local COTO Boy Does Good- Becomes Movie Star

Hey COTO Family.

I just recieved this. In fact I do not even know how to produce the actual full screen shot. Perhaps some of you all could help me.

Anyway, now while this may not be as big time as Stephen Lesser on Faux Snooze (please note sarcasm)but it is still
pretty cool.

This is a documentary that some young people from Ohio put on about the RNC in St Paul last year. I was interviewed in it and you can watch the documentary here.

While some like Stephen Lesser and Rob Kall may get that
golden microphone, these kids went out and created their own. just like we are here. We do not need Op Ed Snooze, Faux Snooze or the Noow Yawk Times.
