We need heroes. Most of our heroes have been assassinated. Here you will see Jones in his element doing what he was destined to do, and oh so happy doing it.

Turn out was as good as can be expected in the pouring rain. These are the dedicated militants. Jones arrived on foot from behind the Bexar county courthouse blaring on the horn as he walked. He crossed the street and walked over two feet from Me and began to get wound up. He was met with shouts of "We love You Alex". How empowering it must be to be so adored.

San Antonio We Are Change was in attendance. Rob Dew was filming and taking letters from folks for Alex. He was thronged throughout the protest. My pancho began to leak after the first hour and I was freezing.  I was filmed behind the leader of We Are Change and I will post the vid when it is available. All the signs were stuck to the granite of the San Antone Fed just as a little reminder to the cretins. Not one cop braved the rain.

On August 17, Bloomberg reported a US government release that industrial production rose twice as much as forecast, climbing 1 percent. Bloomberg interpreted this to mean that “increased business investment is propelling the gains in manufacturing, which accounts for 11 percent of the world’s largest economy.”

		Secretary Treasury Tim Geithner welcomed us to “the recovery.”

The stock market rose.

Let’s look at this through the lens of statistician John Williams of shadowstats.com. Williams reports that “the primary driver of a 1.0% monthly gain in seasonally-adjusted July industrial production” was “warped seasonal factors” caused by “the irregular patterns in U.S. auto production in the last two years.” Industrial production “shrank by 1.0% before seasonal adjustments.”

If the government and Bloomberg had announced that industrial production fell by 1.0% in July, would the stock market have risen 104 points on August 17?

Hackers protesting government censorship of the Internet have shut down several Australian government websites in a demonstration against the announcement that filters would be imposed to block access to websites deemed offensive by the authorities.

The campaign was launched by the anti-Scientology group Anonymous in response to plans to implement a mandatory and wide-ranging internet filter modeled on that of the Communist Chinese government.
