Congressional Dinosaurs Responsible for "State" of America?

Is it reasonable that "We the People" ascribe responsibility to a group of policy-makers like Congress, for the "state" of our world?  Or should we blame ourselves?


You must also consider past and present pResidents, their administrations, their appointees, the shadow advisers and funders, etc.

As you contemplate your environment (i.e. your world, and other countries directly affected by U.S. deeds), the "state" of your life (and others), your prospects for the future, your family's well-being this Veteran's Day -- how do you explain "where WE are" today?

No wonder Washington never changes – 79 members of Congress have been there since Bill Clinton’s first term in the White House.

This list includes names such as Reid, Feinstein, McConnell, McCain, Pelosi, Boehner, Rangel and Boxer. In this article, I am going to share with you a complete list of the members of Congress that have been “serving” us for at least 20 years. They believe that they are “serving” us well, but without a doubt most Americans very much wish that true “change” would come to Washington.

In fact, right now Congress has a 15 percent approval rating with the American people, and that approval rating has been consistently below 20 percent since mid-2011. So of course we took advantage of the 2014 mid-term election to dump as many of those Congress critters out of office as we possibly could, right? Wrong. Sadly, incumbents were re-elected at a 95 percent rate in 2014. This just shows how broken and how corrupt our system has become. The American people absolutely hate the job that Congress is doing, and yet the same clowns just keep getting sent back to Washington again and again.

Our founders never intended for service in Congress to become a career, but that is precisely what it has become for many of our “public servants”. As of this moment, there are 79 members of Congress that have been in office for at least 20 years, and there are 16 members of Congress that have been in office for at least 30 years.

No wonder so many Americans are advocating term limits these days. When there are dozens of members of Congress that know that they are going to be sent back to Washington over and over again no matter how the American people feel about things, that can cause them to become extremely callous toward the will of the people. Instead, often these politicians become increasingly responsive to the needs of their big donors, because it takes big money to win campaign after campaign. I am sure that if George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were running around today, they would be absolutely disgusted by how our system has evolved.

As you looked over those lists, you probably noticed that they contain many of the members of Congress that Americans complain about the most.

Unfortunately, because the vast majority of these individuals come from states or congressional districts that are basically a lock to vote a certain way, there is very little hope of ever removing them. That means that most of these Congress critters are going to get to keep coming back for as long as they want.

No matter which political party you prefer, this should greatly disturb you.

Our founders certainly never intended for a permanent class of elitists to rule over us.

But that is what we have.

We are supposed to have a government of the people, by the people and for the people, but instead we have a government of the elite, by the elite and for the elite. Most people do not realize this, but today most members of Congress are actually millionaires. The disconnect between members of Congress and average Americans has never been greater than it is right now, and I think that is a very troubling sign for the future of this nation.

So is there a solution to this problem?

What is IT good for?

What justifies ITS existence in IT"S present form, or some other efficient model?

Can you pare this Thing down to a bare bones version where it actually benefited humanity?

Is it not self evident that if anything required complete transparency to the people it is supposed to serve, it would be this Thing?

Saturday We Marched

Nov. 19th a freind and I drove up to San Antone to meet We Are Change San Antonio at the private Federal Reserve. We occupied the fed for three hours. Surprisingly the city cops were the most supportive of any of the passers by. Matt Medina leader of We Are Change San Antonio was there. My freind and I carried a large Ron Paul banner and end the fed signs.

Then we marched on the Alamo. As we marched to the beat of the drum we chanted "end the fed" and "Ron Paul". When we passed  Hemisfair Park there was a large hotel, I think it was the Sheraton and it was at least ten stories. As we shouted for Ron Paul an echo was created by the buildings and our voices were amplified. People began to come out on the balconies to see what the noise was all about so we aimed or signs and voices skyward. Then we marched on to the Alamo.

Arriving at the Alamo there were large groups of people and tourists. We all lined up facing the Wax Museum. A girl from We Are Change that looked like a model was carrying a Gadsden flag on a pole marching back and forth on the curb. We were all screaming and holding banners and signs. Some chicano fool came over and told us to leave,we didnt. Then an ex-military boot-licker came over and tried to start some shit,not wise he was greatly out-numbered. Then a bicycle cop came over and told the boys with the bullhorns to take it easy before we started a riot. Again the San Antonio Police were very supportive of our rights to free speech and assembly (I think they are Paulites).

It was very heart warming to see the passion and dedication of these wonderful young people. Some had come down from Austin. Ron Paul has the best looking girls supporting him(the lucky devil).    Photos will be posted on We Are Change San Antonio.  Ron Paul was all over the radio Monday morning after his appearance on Face The Nation Sunday morning.

This is the time to act. Strike while the iron is hot. Move. Shout. Act.Educate.

In Times Like These

We need heroes. Most of our heroes have been assassinated. Here you will see Jones in his element doing what he was destined to do, and oh so happy doing it.

Turn out was as good as can be expected in the pouring rain. These are the dedicated militants. Jones arrived on foot from behind the Bexar county courthouse blaring on the horn as he walked. House rejected Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed by a vote of 198-229

Dear Friend in Liberty,

Yesterday, the House rejected Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed by a vote of 198-229.  The Audit was included in a Republican motion to send the Dodd-Frank Fed Empowerment Act (H.R. 4173) back to committee.

If the measure had been approved, H.R. 4173 would have been changed to include the thorough Audit.

Even worse, the majority of those who voted against it were cosponsors of H.R. 1207.

Check out our “Hall of Shame” to see if your representative is on the list of those who abandoned their so-called “support” for Audit the Fed (while voting to further empower the secretive Fed) when real action was required.

Be sure to let them know you will make your fellow constituents aware of their failure to support full accountability from those responsible for this latest economic crisis.

If your representative stood with Ron Paul by supporting Audit the Fed, thank him for his support and urge him to fight any future efforts to expand the Fed’s powers.

Fed to Hire PR Wizard to Fight Against HR 1207

As HR 1207 gains momentum and co-sponsors in the House of Representatives, the Federal Reserve is planning to fight the tide calling for an audit of its books by hiring a veteran lobbyist to “manage its relations with Congress,” according to Reuters.

HR 1207 would “amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes.”

The Fed plans to hire Linda Robertson, who previously worked for now-defunct energy company Enron, as well as the Clinton administration. She is currently head of government, community and public relations at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Robertson “spent eight years in senior positions at the Treasury Department, working for three secretaries: Lloyd Bentsen, Robert Rubin and Lawrence Summers,” a bio posted on The John Hopkins University website states.
