Matthew Simmons' Death - Foul Play?

Matthew Simmons

ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) - Matthew Simmons, an energy investment banker who espoused the peak oil theory, became an advocate for alternative energy and served as energy adviser to President George W. Bush, has died at his North Haven island home, officials said Monday. He was 67.

The founder of Houston-based Simmons & Co. International wrote the 2005 book "Twilight in the Desert: The Coming Saudi Oil Shock and the World Economy," raising concerns about Saudi Arabia's oil reserves and laying out his theory that the world was approaching peak oil production.

Two years later, Simmons founded The Ocean Energy Institute, a think tank and venture capital fund in Rockland to promote offshore wind energy research and development.

The institute is a part of the consortium led by the University of Maine, which aims to design and test floating deep-water wind turbine platforms.

"Matt Simmons was an innovative thinker who pushed ideas that have the potential to yield a more environmentally and economically sustainable future for Maine and the world," said Maine Gov. John Baldacci, who attended the opening of the institute's headquarters last month.

Simmons' body was found Sunday night in his hot tub, investigators said.

An autopsy by the state medical examiner's office concluded Monday that he died from accidental drowning with heart disease as a contributing factor.

In 1974, Simmons founded Simmons & Co. International, which grew into one of the largest investment banking companies serving the energy industry. He continued to serve as chairman emeritus until last month, when he retired to give his full energy to the Ocean Energy Institute.

"We are deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of a true visionary and friend. As a pivotal figure in the lives of many of our employees, and countless others across the energy industry, Matt will be sorely missed," Simmons & Co. CEO Mike Frazier said in a statement.

Simmons was critical of BP PLC's handling of the Gulf oil spill and predicted the company would file for bankruptcy. In one interview, he said the cleanup costs could top $1 trillion.

As an international energy expert, Simmons correctly predicted in 2007 that oil would surpass $100 a barrel. The following year, it peaked at $147 a barrel.

What got Matt in "deep water" figuratively and literally?..  It's not nice to speak truth to the power of the Oil Syndicate and the "Corporation."   and he did just that.  Just listen...~jg

  2. If BP FF planned to tank the environment it will cover that at first base. What financial/energy consequences in a war with the largest reserves pumping in the world in the IRAQ-IRAN duplex have?

That's how they do it. “Just when I think I’m out, they pull me back in!”

  3. Absolutely. The Empire Strikes back is most apropo...but remember Luke is saved by bad papa.

This "breaking of silence", and "revelation of the plan" should be viewed as another 'game theory' modulation.

The sacraficial rituals of 'insiders' is a purposeful tactic>>both the revelation of the plan, and subsequent killing of the pawn.

This is an occult operation--a psyop as telling as any false flag event.

  4. We are being attacked on so many fronts it's nearly impossible to keep score.

There is no doubt in my mind that the BP disaster is part of their depopulation plan. If the gulf loop current is truly broken, the entire weather system of the planet will be altered. Talk about man made global climate change !

Simmons said not to worry about the dispersants they are nothing compared to the toxic oil. Well, to me, it's all death to the Gulf and it won't be long before we'll be hearing horror stories up and down the east coast relating to the toxic waste creeping up the Atlantic like something from a B horror flick.

Then there's war with Iran. Which for the life of me I don't get. Here a nuke there a nuke everywhere a nuke nuke!... Who the hell wins?
    I don't know.

Remember the original atom bomb meeting--frying Japan was a demo...the use of which is the world wide tension strategy...to actually let these things fly boils the pot the winners are after. All their golden eggs burnt brown.

Better to leave it as "potential"...keeps all on the edge of their seats.

  15. Not to worry, they're stark raving mad.

It's time for the X-Factor to arrive, or at least get off the couch and give us a hand. That is of course if there is an X-Factor?

I personally have no hope at all. Even if we were to "win" some sort of victory tomorrow and put these evil cretins in chains, that they already have unleashed a chain of events that may well have spelled our doom and that the only thing that could save us now would be divine intervention, or barring that aliens landing and pulling off some kind of Arthur C. Clark version of "Childhoods End," - other than that - we're fucked.

Was this an accident? Plausible deniablity?

All I know is this - the serious killing hasn't nearly begun, but I'd put money down if I had any that its coming to a neighborhood near you soon.

Will the worst happen? More often than not - no. But its those few times that it does that will kill you. How long has it been since the last great extinction? We're most likely overdue. But for all we know this will be the first extinction due to the species own malice of forethought.

So what does this all mean? Was this grand experiment just one more missed opportunity in the cosmic scheme of things? A 5-billion year failed Petri-dish of the God's puttering around? Was all this effort wasted because we didn't get off the couch ourselves earlier? Where all our efforts in vain?

    I WANT SOME FUCKING ANSWERS!!!

As I was listening to AJ today he waxed on about Steven Hawkins recent statement that mankind is basically fucked if we don't get off-planet within the next 100-years because we've pretty much already screwed the pooch here, and AJ agreed with him, only he didn't give us 100-years. So is that all that can save the species? A few that would be left having the ability to take off and go where no man has gone before in a wild carp-shot that we'd be lucky enough to find a planet out there we could inhabit that isn't already FUBAR?

Is that it? Is that are only fucking option for all this fucking suffering and pain?

"Oops! Sorry about your fucking planet, all your fucking plans, hopes, family and anything else you may have hoped to have had. But we've screwed-up this planet so badly that not even the hybrid-humanoids we've created will be able to live here.

Here, have a ticket to ... ah to ... well, anywhere but here. That is if you can afford it."

And what are the chances that if this scenario comes about that it would be anyone else but the sick-fuck sociopaths that could board? After all how many space-craft can there be?

Yup, if there ever was a time for divine intervention this is it.

  17. Not to worry, the Earth is going to do a polar flip--it's an electromagnetic dance between the sun and the planet.

The sun is bound up in a magnetic twist, because of the torsion of the planet gravities orbiting around it. This happens every five to ten million years.

And yes, we are due for one. You may have read some of the reports from solar scientists about the weird state of the sun? Most of these guys are reading it from the nuclear fission angle, forgeting the electomagnetic angle that is the primal engine for the nuclear force. [see: Maxwell]

You get the superfast dryfreeze effect that left those Rusky mamoths standing there frozen in place in a matter of seconds--still munching the grass...and slamoowie bang they are frozen fritters.

THAT is what "Divine Intervention" is...cosmic dude.

  19. Does this ring any bells as to the BP disaster?

It is true that the rate of pollution could be increased selectively for this purpose; in fact, the mere modifying of existing programs for the deterrence of pollution could speed up the process enough to make the threat credible much sooner. But the pollution problem has been so widely publicized in recent years that it seems highly improbably that a program of deliberate environ- mental poisoning could be implemented in a politically acceptable manner...

It is patently impossible to discuss social engineering or the automation of a society, i.e., the engineering of social automation systems (silent weapons) on a national or worldwide scale without implying extensive objectives of social control and destruction of human life, i .e., slavery and genocide.

This manual is in itself an analog declaration of intent. Such a writing must be secured from public scrutiny. Otherwise, it might be recognized as a technically formal declaration of domestic war. Furthermore, whenever any person or group of persons in a position of great power, and without the full knowledge and consent of the public, uses such knowledge and methodology for economic conquest -- it must be understood that a state of domestic warfare exists between said person or group of persons and the public.

  23. hi William,
yeah BOTH are due for a reversal, sun and the earth.
I suspect a lot of the violent weather right now is partially solar Flare related. Magnetic North is at least 40km Inside Russia now, and moving fast.
we are having huge storms here, and have had 2 mini tornado events in 2 weeks, Aus is not known for them.

The Gulf stream has been known to slowdown, the oil probably will not help.
but the La Nina, and ENSO are also rather big game changers there too.

In an explosive first-hand account, ecosystem biologist Linda Hooper-Bui describes how Obama administration and BP lawyers are making independent scientific analysis of the Gulf region an impossibility. Hooper-Bui has found that only scientists who are part of the Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) process to determine BP’s civil liability get full access to contaminated sites and research data. Pete Tuttle, USFWS environmental contaminant specialist and Department of Interior NRDA coordinator, admitted to The Scientist that “researchers wishing to formally participate in NRDA must sign a contract that includes a confidentiality agreement” that “prevents signees from releasing information from studies and findings until authorized by the Department of Justice at some later and unspecified date.” Hooper-Bui writes:

It’s not hazardous conditions associated with oil and dispersants that are hampering our scientific efforts. Rather, it’s the confidentiality agreements that come with signing up to work on large research projects shepherded by government entities and BP and the limited access to coastal areas if you’re not part of those projects that are stifling the public dissemination of data detailing the environmental impact of the catastrophe.

Dr David Kelly was on a hitlist, says UN weapons expert as calls grow for full inquest --Dr Spertzel said he and Dr Kelly were told that they were 'numbers three and four' on the list during an inspection trip in Iraq. 14 Aug 2010 A leading UN weapons inspector last night added his voice to the growing clamour for a full inquest into the death of Dr David Kelly. Dr Richard Spertzel claimed Dr Kelly was on a 'hitlist' in the final years of his life. The former head of the UN Biological Section, who worked closely with Dr Kelly in Iraq in the 1990s, has written to Attorney General Dominic Grieve about the 'mysterious circumstances' surrounding the death. The weapons inspector's body was found after he was unmasked as the source of a damaging BBC news report questioning the grounds for the Iraq war.

Mystery Still Lingers Over Flight That Killed Ted Stevens 14 Aug 2010 The plane that crashed into an Alaskan mountainside and killed former Sen. Ted Stevens and four others was outfitted with an alert system that warned pilots of dangerous terrain. But National Transportation Safety Board chairwoman Deborah Hersman said that it's not known if the system was working just before the plane crashed Monday. The plane was also equipped with an emergency locator transmitter, Hersman said at a news conference in Anchorage Friday... She added that it was also unclear why that signal didn't activate. Hersman told reporters that one of the survivors described Monday afternoon's crash by saying: "They were flying along, and they just stopped flying." The same survivor said he didn't notice any changes in the plane's pitch or hear any unusual engine sounds right before the plane went down about 20 miles north of Dillingham in southwest Alaska.

  34. http://www.asiantribune.com/news/2010/07/30/wikileaks-us-military-logs-reveal-us-‘death-squad’-afghanistan-task-force-373

    Washington, D.C. 30 July (Asiantribune.com):
Among many classified/secret military data brought in to light by the organization WikiLeaks, other than the civilian killings which amount to war crimes, is the revelation of a ‘death squad’ called the Task Force 373 operating in the Afghanistan war theater which is going about killings with impunity.
A 'black' Special Forces squad led by the U.S. targets Taliban and Al-Qaeda figures in Afghanistan.
The team, Task Force 373, hunts for suspects on a 2,000 strong list to kill or capture, known as Jpel.
The secret-classified military log allegedly reveals the unit has killed innocent men, women and children and Afghan police officers who got in their way.

This is one of the reasons I think wikileaks is not a psyop--the psyop being the mainstream media cherrypicking from the leaks, and the intel services letting Assange flit about unhindered.
