11:36pm Amid cries for Mubarak's immediate departure, demonstators - led by a guitarist off camera - break into song during the "Friday of Departure". Al Jazeera cannot verify the authenticity of any Youtube videos.
Translation: Let's make Mubarak hear our voices. We all, one hand, requested one thing, leave leave leave ... Down Down Hosni Mubarak, Down Down Hosni Mubarak ... The people want to dismantle the regime .... He is to go, we are not going ... He is to go, we won't leave ... We all, one hand, ask one thing, leave leave.

Barbershop Diairies, Volume I, Issue 14: Whose Death Panel?
People want to believe the Big Lie. The haircut that looks great on someone else is what he or she wants for himself or herself. What’s missing in their lives, they believe, is what someone else has, “just right over there.” People will believe this lie right up to the point where they are hunted down like animals and shot in the street, with or without their children in tow.
At first blush, the simple truth can be painful as hell to hear.

US Still Paying Blackwater Millions - Outcry Grows From Veterans, Elected Officials
Just days before two former Blackwater employees alleged in sworn statements filed in federal court that the company's owner, Erik Prince, "views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe," the Obama administration extended a contract with Blackwater for more than $20 million for "security services" in Iraq, according to federal contract data obtained by The Nation. The State Department contract is scheduled to run through September 3. In May, the State Department announced it was not renewing Blackwater's Iraq contract, and the Iraqi government has refused to issue the company an operating license.
Despite its scandal-plagued track record, Blackwater (which has rebranded itself as Xe) continues to have a presence in Iraq, trains Afghan forces on US contracts and provides government-funded training for military and law enforcement inside the United States.

The Truth Alone Will Not Set You Free
By Chris Hedges TruthDig June 29, 2009
The ability of the corporate state to pacify the country by extending credit and providing cheap manufactured goods to the masses is gone. The pernicious idea that democracy lies in the choice between competing brands and the freedom to accumulate vast sums of personal wealth at the expense of others has collapsed. The conflation of freedom with the free market has been exposed as a sham. The travails of the poor are rapidly becoming the travails of the middle class, especially as unemployment insurance runs out and people get a taste of Bill Clinton’s draconian welfare reform. And class warfare, once buried under the happy illusion that we were all going to enter an age of prosperity with unfettered capitalism, is returning with a vengeance.
