Yesterday, as a group of us were chalking Obama’s visit at Jackson Square, a Park Security guard comes up to me and asked if I had a permit to do what we were doing. I answered, “Would my 1st Amendment rights count?”
It got uglier from there. We where threatened with arrest, for felony graffiti. When he asked to see my ID, I told him I didn’t have any. I was riding a bicycle, and even if I did have ID, I wouldn’t show it to Park Security. He started berating me for not having an ID, calling me Mr. Nobody.
