We're not COTO for nothing. You can usually tell who we are from the scars we have on our foreheads from banging them against a wall.
Of course I'm talking about those things that we witness everyday of our lives that makes our jaws drop open, as we scream something like; "What the fuck?!? Why isn't everyone seeing this?" All those obvious things, that many people simply refuse to admit. 9/11 being the biggest WTF of them all, but there's hundreds of other crimes that, as you fall down this rabbit-hole, make you want to scream.
It is insane. Existence itself, the very nature of life is put into question.
It would seem like it would be so simple. All that we need to thrive has been provided for us. Yet we gifted animals have yet to be able to separate ourselves from the savage beast. With all our majesty and ability we haven't been able to transcend our most basic savage survival instincts. And in this warped fight between body, mind and spirit, the physical plain of basic needs seems to be winning out. Because in this argument of good vs evil, I have heard good people argue insane solutions, making the very same claims of purification of the masses, the only difference is one is working on that process from the bottom-up, and the other wants to go from the top-down. Which would, if you cast yourself in this argument, makes either solution insane.
There are other solutions. But have we blown them? And this question is what scares the bejesus out of us. Some of us still keep fighting for those other solutions as though there still were a chance, that at the last minute, the spirit of love would will out.
We have "free energy." Nickola Tesla's machine will be built by some country and once the rest of the world sees what can be, old empires will crumble. The question is just how much blood is going to be spilled, and what amount of damage will be done to the terraforming of this planet along the way? Will we be able to pull-off the coup before Earth has passed the "fail-safe" threshold ? Is it already too late?
Tesla was not just a genius, he was a visionary in the most literal, and mystical sense. He could, like Edgar Casey, and other visionaries foretell the future, and tell us that none of what is told is written in stone, that we do have implanted in us the ability to write the future, and that if we choose unwisely, we risk everything.
We were made to explore the universe. We evolved on a planet that is both beautiful and brutal. This blue-ball could be heaven on Earth, and we could be the seed of something good, if only we could master the beast within us.
I don't know the answer, beyond to keep on keeping on as though there will be a chance. For it hurts to think that we are just a failed experiment. Just one of the billions of other planets in the cosmos that sprouted life, and evolved only to fall prey to such base instincts such as greed and avarice.
Whatever it is, it is coming into focus. Not all of us having the genius of a Tesla, and only the limited capacity of being a visionary, we go off what commonsense gives us. God help us, for I'm not so sure that's enough.
--------------------+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++-------------------------------
Please forgive me. I started out wanting to write about all the obvious crimes that are being committed, and have been committed, such as "Fast & Furious," Obama's birth-certificate, and other crimes by the powers-that-be, but got off into this philosophical head-banging. Hope you enjoy it anyway.
s'ok, I think most of us here are either still butting our heads or healing the bruises:-)
ReplyDeleteI had yet another experience of wasting my time over the weekend.
I like most COTO have worked out is close to futile..but every now and then you try..to see a spark of getting someone thinking, questioning..hell even wondering just a tiny tiny spark.
a molotov under their asses will be what eventually moves em..too late
I feel ya. But, y'all have heard me harp on this before (not that you need to take my word for it). Consider this...there ain't no 'meaning' in the universe. No one is going to save us. As long as we have to share the planet with deluded numbskulls, life will continue to be unfair. In the end, no one gets out alive. That said...enjoy the time you have left and embrace the absurdity of it all...
ReplyDeleteIn absurdist philosophy, the Absurd arises out of the fundamental disharmony between the individual's search for meaning and the apparent meaninglessness of the universe. As beings looking for meaning in a meaningless world, humans have three ways of resolving the dilemma. Kierkegaard and Camus describe the solutions in their works, The Sickness Unto Death (1849) and The Myth of Sisyphus (1942):
1. Suicide (or, "escaping existence"): a solution in which a person ends one's own life. Both Kierkegaard and Camus dismiss the viability of this option. Camus states that it does not counter the Absurd, but only becomes more absurd, to end one's own existence.
2. Religious, spiritual, or abstract belief in a transcendent realm, being, or idea: a solution in which one believes in the existence of a reality that is beyond the Absurd, and, as such, has meaning. Kierkegaard stated that a belief in anything beyond the Absurd requires a non-rational but perhaps necessary religious acceptance in such an intangible and empirically unprovable thing (now commonly referred to as a "leap of faith"). However, Camus regarded this solution, and others, as "philosophical suicide".
3. Acceptance of the Absurd: a solution in which one accepts the Absurd and continues to live in spite of it. Camus endorsed this solution, believing that by accepting the Absurd, one can achieve absolute freedom, and that by recognizing no religious or other moral constraints and by revolting against the Absurd while simultaneously accepting it as unstoppable, one could possibly be content from the personal meaning constructed in the process.

Thank you. I feel so much better now.
ReplyDeleteBANG!!! Thump.
I enjoyed the hell out of your essay Mr. M
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the hell out of your comment as well Mr. O
I do disagree with the existentialist argument however, in that I know it is possible to use reason to extrapolate the logical existence of a Source - "God" - if you will. This reasoning process of course lies right on the edge of quantum theory and wave mechanics, in a realm where the theoretical has been proven by empirical experimentation.
If you want assurance of the sacred...as in any and all truth, it is available through reason to mankind.

"Oh well, It's only going to rain anyhow" Let's just start a new philosophy. Let's call it Eeorian Theory. Stephen Hawkings would probably be all over that one. After all, we're just soulless biological machines ruled by chemicals, right Stevie? I'll trust what comes from inside in the way of feelings and instincts. You Richard Dawkins affectionados have at it, at least you all agree with each other unlike everyone else. The rest of us aren't completely sure but something tells us there's more to it than that.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, I don't trust anyone that has all the answers. Even as I seek them.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean I wouldn't trust myself if I found them?
Excuse me while I go looking for a brick wall.
I laughed out load at your dry humor there M.
ReplyDeleteSorry...sort of...'cause it presents a morbid thought...but it was a like a drum roll, rimshot, touche'.
How absurd, eh?
Good post. Tryin to get to the heart of the matter of The Big Mess we're all in. A stab in the dark is better than puttin our head up our ass.
ReplyDeleteWe can frame this thing with so many pictures...attach so many descriptive phrases to try and explain the reality of the non-reality that is our reality...at the moment.
Rod Stewart's tune ran through my head quickly...a rhapsody, a comedy, etc. I've been very frustrated with the super slo-mo version of this caricature of reality that nobody wants to watch, much less participate in. Its like water torture with the drip, drip, drip, interspersed by some violent water-boarding events, then back to the drip, drip, drip.
And the Truth has left the building -- everywhere. Virtually everything is a plasticized corruption of mutated reality. Gone virtual -- not right, off, twisted, insane, bizarre. I could go on, but you're already "there". Thanks.
I'm hoping for a better ending than this horror flick I've been watching.
Sorry, man. Was hoping you'd choose door number three. Albeit, I did get a good chuckle out of your comment myself.
ReplyDeleteCrazy Train running through our living rooms hourly, shaking, and rattling our brains, as everything seems to go down the drain...
ReplyDeleteIf one "reads" alternative news at all, regularly, a freaky picture fills the frame. If you turn on an MSM channel or two, following your alt-news foray, then the absolute inanity of all of it astounds one's sensibilities. Following the feelings of outrage, comes a fruitlessness of the spirit, as you are shocked at the seriousness of the situation. Then you take stock, and toss back and forth the ideas of Action, or Inaction. Do I do "something", anything, or sit and reflect. Can we even trust our reflexes and instincts? We hope they have not been dulled into sheep-like somnambulance.
Check out the video I posted at the end of the comments section on the recent Fukushima thread I put it up. Perhaps grok the gist in the mist in the articles below. One things for sure -- getting all to giving up on "living" is the intent of the forces arrayed against US. Therefore, the absolute dogged pursuit of Living, as best I can manage and celebrate, shall be my charted course. We are surrounded by much to appreciate and focus upon. I can turn the channel from the Bad Vibes, and take in that which soothes my soul, rather than enflames it. So can you all. Cheers!

If I have to accept a meaningless universe, I'd choose Camus' 3rd option - accept the absurd. Within that construct, tho, I do hold out hope for an external savior to this absurd insanity of our species.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many other planets spawned a species that took out the planet's ability to support life. Statistically, we can't be the only one.
Perhaps in my own mad reaction to it all, I wonder if we could just breed out the sociopathic genes. Of course to do that, we have to start with killing the known sociopaths and all their progeny. Eat the rich, and all their offspring.
I think you're right, MrM, to say when we sought the development of and achieved the nuclear bomb, we signed our own death warrant and that of most life on this planet.
We know that cockroaches, scorpions, and other life forms can survive radiation, but then (as we all know) when we add in all the toxic industrial pollution to our air, land and water (including chemtrails), and when we add in that we're now throwing wrenches in the planet's gene pool with out nano-creations... it then seems likely that we're ensuring complete and total extinction. Lights on; lights out.
maybe in another 3.5 billion years, once most of the toxic waste left by Homo sapiens has decayed to safe levels, and the perfect chemical mix in a pool of water gets hit by lightning (or some other intense energy source), life will begin anew.
but we also know that extinction is forever. No species that has ever existed on this planet has returned, once it went extinct.
so instead of that dystopic endgame, why not try to save our species, our planet and our necessary companion life forms by taking out the sociopaths who are systematically poisoning us and the planet (and their offspring)?
We are at war; most of you don't deny that. Those running things are systematically killing us, some quickly, most slowly thru poison.
so instead of going out with a whimper, let's cull that portion of our population that lacks a conscience -- they for sure are doing the most immediate harm.
Interesting topic, good responses, too... I'm reading a novel where the protagonists are a group doing just that -- taking out the 1%. "The Army of the Republic" by S.A. Cohen
Great article and so glad to be amongst other 'headbangers'. Thanks for the laugh, in this serious psychopatic world of the living dead.
ReplyDeleteI struggle with "taking out" anyone, even though if I found myself in a room with one of the Rothschilds, or their ilk, I can't guarantee what reaction I might have.
ReplyDeleteTrue we are at war. But as much as possible we must keep to the percepts of the rule of law. For it's a thin line between us and them.
Perhaps we could start an "Internet People's Court." Much like the trial they had in Canada about 9/11. We have representatives from both sides present their case, and then have the viewers be the jury and recommend the punishment.
The "rule of law" has turned into a freaking Joke most places it was ever said to exist. The human and inhuman natural inclination is to bend that sucker to fit the circumstances. In the case of the 1%, it is to subvert it entirely, ignore it, invert it, or mutate it into some misshapen form that fits their desires.
ReplyDeleteTo maintain the "rule of law", or decorum, or civility, or whatever moral code you are referring to M, the 99% must guard those democratically established "rules" like the renowned (not crown) Jewels they are.
I propose the CULL. But, give the mutant creatures their own island or place (maybe a passing AssTeroid) where they can live with their own kind. A fitting "sentence" for their ilk. We'll call it HELL, they can call it whatever they think fits.
One other thing...to the 1% sociorats --
ReplyDeleteNo need to leave a message on the phone. I have "cull waiting" blocking your cull. I'll cull you back later. I'm on another cull.
lol... YEAH!
ReplyDeleteYa ever think maybe, this was where someone else dumped their turds?
ReplyDeleteRady,
ReplyDeleteI do understand where you are coming from. I have such impulses at times myself.
BUT
I have to agree with Mr. M on my initial feelings that "taking out" the "bad genes" is not our place.
There us a certain aspect that is a 'No-Go Zone' for a aware and conscious individual...bells that ring deep in our soul. I think we should listen when they ring. Truth and Justice are fair sisters, and vengeance is not the same thing as justice.
We seriously take too much as a certainty in some things we call science. Although I am well versed in the physical traits of psychopathy, and the conclusions APPEAR at this time that it could be genetic. Do we know how deeply the gene is entwined with the genetics of the whole race? By that I mean, in order to stamp it out, would that perhaps mean stamping out the human genome in its entirety?
Think upon it. I think first of all, our intuition has a message if we listen. Secondly, there is the rational argument I just attempted to explain what my intuition was aiming me at.
Ja?
\\][//
May sound "Pop" to mention Star Wars...and the dangers lurking in turning to the 'Dark Side'...it may start as a rational string of thoughts...but there is emotion - the emotion of anger and rage that begins to subtly adjust the rational string and 'excuses' are drawn as hurdles to seeing ones 'intent' altering ever so slightly.
ReplyDeleteIt is a process one need be ever vigilant and on guard for.
We have such a short term and small view perspective on eternity that any certainty is misplaced.
\\][//
Yeah, Camus provided me with much comfort, mrobtuse. I'll take the triad 1-2-3 with a tesla leap kicker.
ReplyDeleteI think you prove the meaning of exisitence and experiment Michael when you ponder the confrontation in the room with the evil.
ReplyDeleteFunny how walking into the room to meet the shadow of death is the end of the trip down an elongated depression. Anticlimactic is the valley and it's shadows.
But you warm my heart with this post. Energy from the vacuum and free electrons are we and everyone here will leap, far and in brilliance when the time comes.
I'll bet you would assist in getting Lord David Rockefeller from his wheelchair to the sofa Michael. That's what makes you COTO.
Ja!

"There us a certain aspect that is a ‘No-Go Zone’ for a aware and conscious individual…bells that ring deep in our soul." ~ Rogue1
ReplyDeleteTears to my eyes. You eloquently (sp?) put into words what I've been feeling for a long time...
All we have to do is remember we have souls or the option on one...
Indeed, the "rule of law" has been made into a joke. And this is where we have to stop laughing and bring it back.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a problem with 'taking out" those sociopaths as long as we give them a fair trail first. But even then, when it comes to punishment, I believe that because the offenders we're up against are ultimately control freaks, that a fitting punishment goes along the lines that Puddy suggests. Isolation. Perhaps placing them in cages in which we can view, and when we're feeling a need to vent, we can blast out rants into their cells. I can imagine that these cretins would prefer death over isolation.
But we're also a long way away from holding court. At the moment we're ass deep in alligators, draining the swamp seems not to be the priority. We are at war. And it war you don't hold court on the battlefield. Especially when the courts are a joke. So now we're back to Rady's more radical proposal. Do we hold a "People's Court" and condemn those that our current system refuses to hold accountable and render justice? Of course Rady would argue that holding court is just a unnecessary formality, that there are those that have already condemned themselves through their actions. And I wouldn't disagree, but we'd need some semblance of condemnation, if for no other reason than to clear our conscience, and stay somewhat straddling the fine line between us and them.
But in the end we don't have to reinvent the wheel. The system is rotten to its core, but we don't need to replace it with some other rotten system. The Constitution supplies a good foundation, it just takes participation by the people to work. Doing away with career politicians, and holding people accountable to the law would fix many of our problems.
Of course getting there won't be easy. It's not as though the criminal elites are going to give-up without shedding blood. And that's where Thomas Jefferson's watering of the "tree of liberty" comes into play.
Nothing is as nice as we would like it to be. We walk a fine line. And it's only through communication and holding to the rule of law that keeps us in check. All of us have the potential to cross over that line, and it's only vigilance that stops us from doing so, and even then there are no guarantees.
I fear for how I might act in the crisis that's coming. When things turn bad, will I? I hope not. But we won't know until we're placed in that position. And unfortunately I'm also fearful that we don't have long to wait, to find this out.
Thank you eyesopenwider,
ReplyDeleteI take that as a deep compliment coming from you.
