Tarpley has good ideas as to how to avoid being co-opted by the status quo.
And he offers some good ideas for substantial demands.

Washington's blog offers some good photos and videos.

You are right JG - this is going viral.

  3. That's fantastic M. I know you'll be there. Next week MANY cities and towns will be joining in, including Philly. Not only is this inspiring but it's a real adrenaline rush for those of us so tired of seeing nothing but a sea of complacent sheeple, caring little and doing nothing while their country is taken over by fascism.

If nothing comes from this, at least we can say we tried. That we aren't like the people in Hitler's, Germany that we read about and wondered about in history class.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Saying WE Tried will never be good enough. Not even close. Humanity Must Determine to NOT SUCCUMB to rampant and rabid evil. Shoulder to shoulder, mind to mind, the WE can bend the world to their Will. It has been ignorance, purposeful ignorance on the part of humanity "moving on" to get along. As WE see there is Zero "getting along" with psychopaths. Their deranged dna always compels them to endlessly and predictably attempt to subjugate all others by any means at their disposal.

It is OUR (humanity) duty to break down and remove all power structures at Their disposal, and cast these parasites into a place where they can no longer harm the earth and its "normal" people.

Btw, really cool interview with Roseanne Barr at the end. Roseanne for prez, Keiser for Secty of treasury :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Roseanne brought up one of the most obvious and blatant issues there is;

    Corporations are NOT people.

    WTF???

How can anyone be soooo stupid as to buy into this corporate personhood nonsense?

This has gone on for a long oinking time. Whattay you crazy??

Bring me Mr. Chase Manhattan because I'm afraid he has been sentenced to have his head removed. You say he's a person? Okay, then the guy deemed to be running this outfit is the guy WE shall call Mr. Chase Manhattan. We will fucking decide - got that?

Now Mr. Monsanto...ah yes a whole family of Mr. and Mrs. Monsanto's, all ready with the dotted lines etched on their necks...

And Mr. Federal Reserve... we are going to cut YOUR particular head off with an Exacto-blade...yes it will be slow - I understand a bit painful...or no, like the dentist says, "some discomfort"...har har har...

They want "personhood" lets give them some frickin' personhood.

    Okay?

Now for all of those destine for Syrian torture chambers...we have a lot of "personhood" designation to take care of - easy, the stand-ins will be the CEOs and the movers and shakers found behind the various corporate thrones...tongues will wag once the train leaves the station. these slimy fucks will squeal like pigs on each other...just one look at the big shiny blade on the parallel rails gleaming in the midday sun...INCENTIVE...yes.
Let's give that PERSONHOOD some incentive.

[Thank you to the people of France, who brought this idea forward originally.]

    PRISON HELL IN AMERIKA

In the past year alone, rogue deputies assaulted hundreds of non-resisting inmates, according to chaplains, other civilians and prisoners.
In fact, anything can provoke abuse or nothing at all. Deputies attacked inmates for complaining about missing property, requesting medical treatment, or for their race or ethnicity.
Prisoners in wheelchairs were beaten. "Many attacks are unprovoked. Nearly all go unpunished." Higher-ups cover up and deny them, refusing to acknowledge their pervasiveness.
Deputy-on-inmate and inmate-on-inmate violence and abuse are out-of-control. Nothing this extreme should be permitted, yet it continues unchallenged.
Deputies beat and kick inmates. They slam their heads into walls and windows. They Taser them unprovoked. They use other prisoners to do their dirty work. Examples are numerous.
One or more times, one inmate sexually assaulted another with a broomstick. Another was raped with his head forced down a flushing toilet. "All of this occurred with the apparent cooperation of LASD employees."~Steven Lendman

    Maybe -- http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=217110

The fact that Marines are joining the protest to protect the people and uphold their own Constitutional {and moral} vow, is a HUGE development. This will grow, and provides a military/police force element on the side of the People. The People's right arm and Will just got a lot stronger. Perhaps Justice will follow the lead, and the criminal cabal will begin to be arrested? Let us hope!

  26. Elliott Abrams, icon of the Reagan era Iran-Contra scandal. Such statements by the freed Americans left “a very bad taste” in Abrams’ mouth. “Who exactly are the ‘political prisoners’ in America?” he blogged on the Council of Foreign Relations website. “Can we have some names?”

Rather then “names”, here is a category of political prisoners – any prisoner kept in a US jail or prison that is not afforded the rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights...which means a great majority of the prisoners in the US.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hey Boom, This article by Hedges is so good, I thought I would put this teaser up here to bring on da COTO to read it:

    http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/the_best_among_us_20110929/

“There are no excuses left. Either you join the revolt taking place on Wall Street and in the financial districts of other cities across the country or you stand on the wrong side of history. Either you obstruct, in the only form left to us, which is civil disobedience, the plundering by the criminal class on Wall Street and accelerated destruction of the ecosystem that sustains the human species, or become the passive enabler of a monstrous evil. Either you taste, feel and smell the intoxication of freedom and revolt or sink into the miasma of despair and apathy. Either you are a rebel or a slave.”
To be declared innocent in a country where the rule of law means nothing, where we have undergone a corporate coup, where the poor and working men and women are reduced to joblessness and hunger, where war, financial speculation and internal surveillance are the only real business of the state, where even habeas corpus no longer exists, where you, as a citizen, are nothing more than a commodity to corporate systems of power, one to be used and discarded, is to be complicit in this radical evil. To stand on the sidelines and say “I am innocent” is to bear the mark of Cain; it is to do nothing to reach out and help the weak, the oppressed and the suffering, to save the planet. To be innocent in times like these is to be a criminal. Ask Tim DeChristopher.~Chris Hedges

The New York financial district, where the mandarins in Brooks Brothers suits use your money, money they stole from you, to gamble and speculate and gorge themselves while one in four children outside those barricades depend on food stamps to eat. Speculation in the 17th century was a crime. Speculators were hanged. Today they run the state and the financial markets. They disseminate the lies that pollute our airwaves.
The only word these corporations know is more. They are disemboweling every last social service program funded by the taxpayers, from education to Social Security, because they want that money themselves. Let the sick die. Let the poor go hungry. Let families be tossed in the street. Let the unemployed rot. Let children in the inner city or rural wastelands learn nothing and live in misery and fear. Let the students finish school with no jobs and no prospects of jobs. Let the prison system, the largest in the industrial world, expand to swallow up all potential dissenters. Let torture continue. Let teachers, police, firefighters, postal employees and social workers join the ranks of the unemployed. Let the roads, bridges, dams, levees, power grids, rail lines, subways, bus services, schools and libraries crumble or close. Let the rising temperatures of the planet, the freak weather patterns, the hurricanes, the droughts, the flooding, the tornadoes, the melting polar ice caps, the poisoned water systems, the polluted air increase until the species dies. ~Chris Hedges

  28. THE PSYCHOLOGY OF AUTHORITY AND PERCEPTION,
    VERSUS RESPONSE

In order to understand the mystery of seemingly blind compliance to authority, there is perhaps no better sample of human nature than the 1961 experiments on "Obedience to Authority," conducted by Dr. Stanley Milgram, a psychologist at Yale University. His studies were spawned by the recent trial and execution of Adolph Eichmann. The results were posted in Milgram's "Obedience to Authority: An Experimental View" (1974).

Milgram focused on the propensity for obedience to authority, versus the role of personal conscience. His work was in consequence of the rationalizations and justifications for the Nazi acts of genocide – as offered by the accused at the World War II, Nuremberg War Crime trials. The perpetrators’ defense was typically based on "obedience" - claiming that they were "… just obeying orders" under the authority of their superiors. However weak the claim may have appeared, it was firmly believed, by the accused. In particular, the Nazi perpetrators were well educated and members of the German aristocracy.

The Eichmann trial stirred the question as to how easy it would be for ‘good’ and educated (American) people (college degree) to be conditioned to commit even murder – in exchange for simple "acceptance and approval." What if Eichmann, and his accomplices were, in fact, "….just following orders."

More directly, the Milgram study demonstrated the propensity for people to submit to even ‘mild,’ even "presumed" authority – let alone threat or even internal fears. (Not even notable amounts of money were required.) The psychiatrists of the day forecast that 2% of any population would be compliant – the ‘sickos;’ the Milgram Study demonstrated 65%!

I would posit that after 30 more years of this PR operation the case would now be more like 80% in Amerika.

  31. Will, where did you get under a thousand ?? There were 5,000 + at the march yesterday. ...700 were arrested. You need to watch the videos and see the crowds for yourself. I've been following this thing for days now and it's obvious the crowds have multiplied exponentially.

Whatever you do , do NOT believe what lamestream or mainstream alternative media is saying. They have lied from day one. When they do cover OWS they say downplay it as if it's gonna go away and they have no message. Idiots! It's occupy wall street, the message is, americans are tired of being screwed by the Goldman Sachs of the world...that's all they need to know !

Of course, they don't want that msg to go out because that's who THEY work for, the presstitute bastards !

THey don't need a list of demands now. ALl they need are americans pissed off at the system. The demands can come later. If the demands are too many or too few people will pick them apart.

Just pulled it outta my butt...but, what I meant was what I meant regardless...

Yes, it is growing exponentially and I AM feeling good about that ...

My point that there SHOULD be millions rests on the MK thing of TV like you mention.

I am not trying to denigrate Occupy WS in any way...just talking about the horrors of MK there.

I agree with you - the DEMANDS are implicit in the people being on Wall St.
What do the Wall Streeters do? That in itself is what must be ended...pick the fucking bronze bull up by the bolts and melt it down into pitch forks and get the show on the road...yea? yea.....

    Hot damn.

  33. In the 70s there were demonstrations in Washington DC at the Lincoln Monument - 100s of thousands...perhaps even a million kids.

Wm. Pepper, the barrister from England wrote a book called ORDERS TO KILL about the assassination of Martin Luther King wherein he proves absolutely that there were back up US military hit squads in case the patsy didn't get King.

In that book he reveals the dialog at one of the inside meetings between Nixon and his staff and the military chiefs...They were shitting their pants over this. They really thought that it would spread and they would end up hanging from lamp posts...very exciting reading for a revolutionary...Lol

Anyway - we really do need those numbers...I hope we get them.

  34. Will, I can assure you they want to destroy that bull. However if they even tried, they'd send in the storm troopers. That's exactly the kind of thing the bastards, including Bloomberg, are waiting for. The peacefulness of the protest is pissing them off royally, I'm sure.

They'd like to make the protesters look like nothing more than mad animals roaming the streets looking to destroy and loot.. They haven't given them that.....yet.. waiting on the agent provacateurs.

Good thing I'm not there though. I would not be able to keep my big mouth shut !! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree.. we need at least 10's of thousands in the streets all over the U.S. With the economy looking more dire every day, I don't think it will be long.. More and more people will be out of work and pissed off and have the time to attend a nice peaceful march :)

    BLOOD MONEY FOR THE PIGS

“J.P. Morgan Chase “donates” $4.6 Million to NYPD” #OccupyWallStreet
JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple. The money will pay for 1,000 new patrol car laptops, as well as security monitoring software in the NYPD’s main data center.
New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly sent CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon a note expressing “profound gratitude” for the company’s donation.
“These officers put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe,” Dimon said. “We’re incredibly proud to help them build this program and let them know how much we value their hard work.”
