That is stupid crazy! But then, it is "creative" solutions to everyday logistical problems. Oh, would we stack our congressional representatives like cord wood and trundle them off to the garbage heap!
Hey Boom, have you set all your clocks back an hour for Daylight Savings Time? (My net-connected devices changed themselves, but old style clocks need adjusting, along with my car dashboard.)
Here's some more news that doesn't fit anywhere else: The New York City Marathon was run Sunday, with a runner who is now famous as a miner, rescued from underground in Chile.
The next video shows a double language barrier, as a Chinese reporter uses English to ask the Spanish-speaking miner from Chile about why he came so far to run this race.
In the world of television, that clip needs editing before it is ready for prime time. But, it turns out that the miner said something inspirational, and that CBS and CNN also aired this Q & A.
The miner said--
"I want people to strive for their own freedom, that's why it's worth it for me to come this far to run a marathon, because I want to motiviate people to do what they set out to do in life. In this marathon, I struggled [with] my own pain but I made it to the finish line. I want to motiviate other people to find the courage ...and strength to transcend their own pain. "
Hat tip to the reporter, Li Jing (who shared this on Facebook which is how I got it).
Hey, and here's more unedited footage that RT posted, awaiting the sentence to be announced for Oakland officer Mehserle in the killing of Oscar Grant:
