The Defiant Verses The Tamed: A Word About Breaking Horses
The cardinal rule in breaking a horse is; The rider must be more compelling than the environment.
The same is true in breaking the spirit of a people. Both processes are based in invoking fear.
Once broken, a horse then is taught to trust according to it's good behavior. It learns to police itself via the carrot and stick method.
The same dynamic is at work in the engineered society. It is obvious to any astute observer that in general, the spirit of America is broken. Oh, there is indeed false bravado in jingoistic patriotism. However that is a learned behavior, a party noisemaker that comes with the party hat and the party platform, ie., PR and propaganda.
That the rider has become more compelling than the environment is obvious in that the riders mouthpiece, TV has become more 'real' to the 'horses' than the actual corral they are in. They are now a branded product. The product of their conditioning as well trained consumers, the stupefied viewing audience.
You are the product of your environment, in the electronic environment you are a widget, numbered and weighed, given the sniff test and categorized. What are the last four numbers of your social Security number? The story is on file under that. That is who/what you are. But only if your spirit is broken and you are obedient to that. As a conscious human being aware of this situation, you can reject this identification simply by free will in free thought...in noticing the real environment and paying attention to it, thus rejecting the riders point of view and holding your own.
A Dressage horse becoming a bucking bronco will throw the effete rider, who is nowhere near as powerful as the horse when push comes to shove.

Condensing the "topic" is a rhetorical dodge to dismiss the larger frame that this issue is only a portion thereof. The issue cannot be fairly and completely adjudicated in the vacuum you propose. All of your self proclaimed 'debunking' is tainted with the willful ignorance on how this topic relates to the larger frame it is contained in.

It's real.... as real as it get's and it only speaks in one segment of the enormous illusionary virtual unreality that the "O"ctopus delivers to mainstream similated salmon swimming in the pond.

I recall liking Franky Avalon when in jr high--bland mediocre lollipop crap, fair to middling good looks, generic teen voice--no real chops--promoted by the template machine--biz with no clue to quality.
Some things never change..other than in size...I mean look at the size of the average ass in Amerika today. At least some things have passed mediocre, like girth and globularness. Maybe 'Serving Man' is a real situation these days...? As in the old Twilight Zone tale...that could be a lot of it.
