Hey, I've just seen a poll on the Los Angeles Times' blog. (At- http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/gossip/2010/10/jimmy-mcmillan-the-rent-is-too-damn-high-party.html ) It's a hypothetical match up, asking readers (of a McMillan article) what if Jimmy McMillan was running for Governor of California? Who would you vote for? The results:
Jerry Brown 7.16% Jimmy McMillan 85.49% Meg Whitman 6% Other 1.35%
As I said, "McMillan is going to be more popular than the Pope in this country!"
Your "man on the street" - listen to him say they should have more troops stationed around the world, and how would he feel if there were Russian or Chinese troops stationed everywhere? Is that ok because its good to show a nation's strength? Imperialism and cultural hegemony is perfectly ok with me, as long as our culture is the one beating everybody else over the head - screw everybody else, I got mine.
