Welcome to Pennsylvania - Home of the Liberty Bell and Big Brother

I saw this ad a couple of days ago on local tv and could not believe my eyes.  (I bet Munich has seen it too)  But then again, why should I be surprised?~jg

  1. Jersey Girl, WOW! It is the first I've seen this, thanks. That's a deep commercial. I really don't watch televison except for some golf (boring. Otthat much.

For a second there I thought the voice in the commerical was going to say "if you don't pay your back taxes we're going to wipe (HAARP) your home off the face of the map." A very dark ad.

The moral fabric of our country is completely gone. They can now observe and manipulate us from space? The enslaved plebes, brought to you by . . . and by the makers of Dove.

George Orwell Deb is rolling in his grave.

  2. Hi Jersey, wow thats ugly.
    try this:-)
In Aus we have PAYE tax, pay as you earn.
so for 3months you work, and declare the income, they the ASSUME you will earn that much every quarter, and so you need to Pay IN ADVANCE that sum every following quarter, now if you dont earn as much they will refund the overpayment, eventually. and they do NOT pay even a crappy 2% or so on your held back money that the Tax dept IS making money of off, while they have use of it.
on the other hand owed tax is 14.5% interest charged by them.
I hear theres a ruckus over fuel tax? ha ha we pay 50% excise.
we have GST 10% on all goods and services.
when you own a store its illegal to hike prices on previously purchased stick till its sold.
try we just copped a 25% increase in the already 50% Tax on tobacco, and the tax is immediately applicable regardless of the date of purchase and stock held prior.
    a 50 pack is now $18. of a brand a friend smokes.
you worry about NAIS? we have it -NLIS! costs our farmers for the tags and for everytime an animal is scanned for sale etc theres another fee.
100% traceability, uh uh. not in fact, just in RFID makers lies.
we pay medicare levy 1.5% of wages until you earn heaps then its 2 something %
and you prefer to allow rip off insurers to charge you thousands a year? I dunno...it works pretty well here. sure some extra charges happen but only cos Privatised american style scanning and radio clinics have managed to weasel their way in and ruin things.
Orwell isnt rolling Jersey- hes fair spinning:-)
the only industry thats doing well here aka resources mining etc is about to be hit with new taxes..the govt has realised that if they Push the ETS (our crap and take carbon scam) the present govt will be out..as it is they wil be outed anyway, theyre too stupid to admit it. KRudd here , our PM wants a nice UN job, after he leaves his present job. yeah right.

  4. "Just remember we know where they live too."

    NOW yer talkin!

"Hi. You're going to call off your rigorous investigation. You're going to publicly state that there is no underground group. Or... these guys are going to take your balls. They're going to send one to the New York Times, one to the LA Times press-release style.

Look, the people you are after are the people you depend on. We cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances. We guard you while you sleep.

    Do not... fuck with us."

  5. Munich, I don't watch tv much either but I happened to have the local news on the other night at dinner and saw this. I kept checking youtube to see if someone put it up and it finally appeared. I thought perhaps it was part of nightmare I'd had but nope it's the real thing...

  9. jersey Puddy were working on fixing the govt..by removing the fool we now have.
today the increased taxes, tobacco is up $6 a 50gram pack. try 31 au, as they couldnt force the Emissions trading con on us and they are in debt, they figure smokers are a cash cow. so? if masses give up..they are screwed again:-)
they paid for a review of the tax structures 138 ? points were noted..so? what did they do? used exactly ONE point seven Five? of the suggestions.
and decided to tax our ONLY surviving business the mining sector a whopping 40%
oh and give concessions to shareholdes and rich folks tax incomes.
this is a Labour govt which is supposed? to be for the working man. Liberals here are the rich and land business owners. basically like the uSA they ALL stink!
Jersey aus is actually a nice place clean and quiet when you get outta the cities, its just the rules and regs that are a pain, however they can be worked around:-) or ignored a lot more out of suburbia.
but I still wanna be about 500 miles more isolated.

  11. hi jersey, yeah its a rotten long trip, beats the EU one though:-)
I have invites from 2 mates there, but as I cant leave the kids (dogs) and now I have Dougie the wonder horse:-) its even harder to envisage.
I would if I could do it by boat. slower but kinder to the body too. well as long as you take your own food:-)
I sussed out catching rides on freighters, so much for the old cheap travel. its NOT, anymore. close on 200 a day for a view of shipping containers..and a real slow boat.
one friend has a dog, the aus quarantine is now only 30 days as opposed to the old 90, so things have improved. id hoped to be able to get him here to stay for a job and a better lifestyle, anyone over 40 skilled or not unless they have a really big bankroll is outta luck. yet we can accept hundreds of useless
unwanted, asians, muslims and africans all of which we are having violence and other issues with etc, makes me bloody wild. they cost us a mint for accomodation, health and education and then ask for sharia law, for eg.
