"I have lost understanding of and confidence in the strategic purposes of the United States' presence in Afghanistan,"
The words of ex-Marine Captain Matthew Hoh in his resignation letter to Ambassador Nancy Powell. Included in his assessment and reasons for seeing no further benefit for US support were;
- Glaring corruption and unabashed graft
- A President whose confidants comprise drug lords and war crime villains
It is quite "Coto ish" of Hoh to assess the Karzai regime as a corrupt, puppet based, illegally elected, ex-Taliban supporter and Pashtun fraud that COTO knows he is. What did anyone expect when he came to be out of the Bonn Agreement, a typical UNwo plan under the guise of the ISAF.
"put simply: I fail to see the value or the worth in continued U.S. casualties or expenditures of resources in support of the Afghan government in what is, truly, a 35-year old civil war."
Afghanistan has been fighting a civil war for twenty years and are not terrorists but religious and social extremists. The Taliban represents the Pashtun power fighting against several minority sects. Once again we have been saddled with an International Military Combine and Corporate puppet to do the bidding of the EU, Israel and the Financial Combine. As GW Bush perpetrated the same kind of genocidal policies in Iraq, we suffered five plus years of civil war casualties on troops and over a million civilian casualties which likely were substantially innocent men, women and children.
My prediction for 50,000 added troops by years end may fail, if more uncommon heroes come out against the odds, giving up their rising star status and cushy opportunities to speak the truth. I can only hope the Obama dithering continues and that this prediction never comes true.
a COTO cheer for Captain Hoh and a Bronx cheer for the continued AfPac scam and those who continue to perpetrate the war crimes.

Afghanistan-What is it all about?
ReplyDeleteThe US blamed Al Qaeda for the 9/11 attack and this was why this particular area became their first priority. What president Bush didn't tell you is that he had already made plans to attack Afghanistan almost six months prior to 9/11 when he realised that the US backed Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - India (TAPI) could be in jeopardy.

That's for certain. I had a business associate in a real estate deal in 1999. He was involved with Saudi's on the purchase of a large real estate acquisition from the late 70's.
ReplyDeleteIt was there the CIA had approached him to do some work for them. He being from Yale/CT was perfect. It wasn't until he gathered enough info about the race for the Caspian and Pipelines.
The Opium is just booty for the UN crime syndicate
