Foreclosed On Homeowner Wanted Cops To Kill Him

As officers closed in, Kurt Aho drank his beer, ignoring commands to drop his gun. Before police arrived he told neighbors he refused to surrender himself or the home he lived in for nearly 30 years. Faced with foreclosure and stacks of medical bills to treat a recurring battle with cancer, the 64-year-old squared off Tuesday against a team of Phoenix police sharpshooters moments after he shot out the tires of two trucks parked on his cul-de-sac near Bell Road and 31st Avenue.

Aho opened fire on the vehicles when the drivers, who earlier in the day had bought his home at a foreclosure auction, showed up to ask Aho when he planned to vacate the property.

  1. How ironic Aho's friend's name is Hobson. He was left with (in his mind) the ultimate "hobson's choice." The only way out is to die.

This is so sad especially knowing it is being played out in one way or another all over this country. With no future jobs in sight, a crashing dollar and a now firmly entrenched police state, there will be many reaching for their own form of escape. God (whoever he/she may be) help us all.

  2. Just another example of why those of us who support Ron Paul dont use credit. They will have to dream up something good to take homes that are paid for. But confiscation is a tool of fascism. You have probably noticed the gold buyers on TV asking for your broken jewelry, when that dries up the goons will come for your gold teeth with a pair of pliers. Fascism, its not just for jews now.

P.S. get the gold teeth with porcelain coating !

  3. I suspect this may also be one of the health-care-costs-cause-bankruptcy situations. The foreclosure was just the final straw.

Our government has abandoned its people except as a source of cannon fodder for its resource wars, and as suckers to absorb the fraudsters debts.

  4. We have been misled to equate Fascism with the Holocaust. Fascism is about the Corporate State which is now nearly completely in place in this country. We have managed to lose a war we thought we had won- WWII.

  5. Absolutely laudy. Now they are indoctrinating the boy scouts in the same manner Hitler did his "youth."

    Can it get any creepier?

  6. Thomas Jefferson quotes on central banks in the USA:

"I am convinced that those societies (such as the Native American peoples) which live without government enjoy in their general mass an infinitely greater degree of happiness than those who live under the European governments. Among the former, public opinion is in the place of law, & restrains morals as powerfully as laws ever did anywhere. Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves & sheep. I do not exaggerate."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"The modern theory of the perpetuation of debt has drenched the earth with blood, and crushed its inhabitants under burdens ever accumulating."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a moneyed aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"The system of banking we have both equally and ever reprobated. I contemplate it as a blot left in all our constitutions, which, if not covered, will end in their destruction. I sincerely believe, with you...that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition. The incorporation of a bank, and the powers assumed by this bill [chartering the first Bank of the United States] have not, in my opinion, been delegated to the United States by the Constitution. They are not among the powers specially enumerated."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our Constitution - taking from the Federal government their power of borrowing (from privately-owned corporate banks)."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"We are undone, my dear sir, if legislation is still permitted which makes our money, much or little, real or imaginary, as the moneyed interests shall choose to make it."
    - Thomas Jefferson

  7. Remember Kucinich and Akron's 90 year old Addie Polk?
Communism, Fascism and Democracy. The triad for a NEW WORLD ORDER.

SURPRISE. But theres always the publishers clearing house to save us all.
