Al Franken, Michael Moore and Single Payer Healthcare

Ad Hominem attacks on COTO-No Problem

Silencing dissent and then lying about it-No problem.

Al Franken, Michael Moore and Single Payer Healthcare

In recent years a book by Al Franken has been very popular in liberal circles.

Rush Limbagh Is A Big Fat Idiot

Well, in that same theme I have decided to create an article with the same kind
of sentiments and theme.

Michael Moore Is A Big Fat Lying Hypocrit

You all remember Michael Moore. He made that great movie Sicko about the need
for Universal Single Payer Healthcare. Compelling stuff, chock full of stories
about what is wrong with our corporate healthcare system.

Michael Moore then went up against Dr Sanjay Guptah on CNN. The good corporate
doctor savaged Michael Moore and Single Payer on the Larry King Show. There really
should be no suprise there. After all, we all know that CNN and all the rest of
the corporate media get much os their funding and commercial revenue from Big
Pharma and other corporate sources.

Fast forward to the present. Barack Obama is opposed to Single Payer Healthcare.
Who does Obama ask to head his Healthcare Committee? Dr Sanjay Guptah, the
very same corporate Dr on CNN, who savaged Michael Moore and Single Payer.
As an interesting side note, Dr Guptah refuses the job because he was getting
more money from CNN.

Who does Michael Moore support for president? Barack Obama, the president who
opposes Single Payer and asked Dr Guptah to head his Healthcare Committee.

And now we have the Senator Baucus Finance Committee, arresting Doctors and
Nurses for simply asking that Single Payer be on the table. Of course who
appointed Senator "arrest them" Baucus? President Barack Obama.

So where the hell is Michael Moore now, at this moment when the Baucus 13
are standing up for Single Payer Healthcare? Nowhere to be found. We can
only assume that Michael Moore has already made his money standing up for
"the little guy." No need to stand up now, is there? Especially when it
is your president and Congress that needs standing up to.

Mr Moore, you told myself and other Ralph Nader supporters in 2004 at
your rally in Minneapolis, that if you were wrong then in your support
of John Kerry that the young people would be the next voices for progressive
politics. You appear to be a big fat liar then and you appear to be a big
fat liar about supporting Single Payer Healthcare.

To end this article, I would like to return to Al Franken. After all, being
from Minnesota I expect that Stewart Smalley will be the next Senator from
Minnesota because "gosh darn it, people just like me."

Who is also on the record being opposed to Single Payer Healthcare.

You are not alone Mr Moore on being a coward and a liar. Far, far from it.

  5. Skiidog,

Agreed BUT when you look at his actions compared to his words, they just don't match up.

Michael Moore HAS been damned quiet about the issue of Single Payer AND fawning over Barack Obama.

I call it the way I see it.

    Thanks for the thought though.
