Jihadi John's alleged death strikes me much the same way as Osama's, though I suspect the former's still alive somewhere. Obama badly needed "good news in the fight against terrorism." I would expect terrorist attacks on Russian soil at this time--but Paris! According to the Saker (thesaker.is) the recent defeat of ISIS by the Syrian army, supported by Russian air attacks, at an airbase they'd held under seige for two years appears to have been a big turning point. I can see why you think the Paris attacks may have been staged...
