Russell Brand's wit & intelligence mocks the MSNBC "morning zoo" newspeakers...

LOVE THIS!  ... It's obvious who is more capable of providing real news and it sure isn't the MSNBC crew who were rattled and somewhat terrified by Russell's "brand." ~jg

"Brand then poked fun at MSNBC's army of "actors" in the back of the shot who were supposedly tweeting, noting that they were merely a gimmick to create the impression that the program was a hotbed of news.""
"The anchors began to get visibly uncomfortable when Brand made the point that mass media was an operation in changing information "so it suits a particular agenda" and that viewers were being manipulated."

"Instead of addressing Brand's point, the anchors instead obsessed about the comedian's accent and his clothing."

"You're talking about me as if I'm not here and as if I'm an extraterrestrial," responded Brand, "thank you for your casual objectification."

"I'm a little nervous," retorted Brzezinski, presumably not used to entertaining guests on her program who act like real people."

"When the conversation began to break down, Brand asked , "Is this what you all do for a living?" before hijacking the broadcast to talk about Edward Snowden, the NSA spying scandal and Bradley Manning."

  1. Russell certainly is a dynamic character isn't he?

Do you suppose any of this could possibly been staged?

I doubt that the others could have pulled it off if they were acting. I think he really pulled the rug out from under them - very quick witted.

I liked this. 5 STARS -- Thumbs Up, how ever you want to rate it.

    Thanks JG.

  2. "Existence is not an idea"~LittleRichardjohn

"Of course it is. It's a word. An abstraction constructed of the neural activity in a brain. Why should your 'existence' have any more basis in reality than 'the universe' constitutes THE actual universe ?"~Ubermensch1

A “word” is an abstraction of a 'concept' - “Existence” is experienced, it is not postulated. Specifics of that existence may be postulated, but the existence itself is experienced. “I think therefore I am” can equally be stated, 'I am therefore I think'...in other words the “idea” of existence is preceded by the existence, and is therefore not simply the “idea of existence” but is the existence itself verified.~ww

  3. Will, I don't think this was scripted. If it was, it backfired because those MSNBC shills were made to look like fools without Russell ever getting the least bit rude. THEY were the rude ones. He did a similar gutting of the idiots on the view a while back.

I loved watching him eviscerate those morons with his polite English manner ;) He's brilliant.

  4. No I brought it up - the scripting idea - specifically to dismiss it.

I agree, the man is simply brilliant, much to quick of wit for these dolts to keep up with...the main host was literally twitching...Lol

He'd better watch himself though, court jesters have a long history hemlock testing when they're deemed too out of line. Emperor's don't like to be exposed naked. Bill Hicks and George Carlin's early demises come to mind.

  6. Yea V, he's very outspoken about current events. He's sharp, funny, and a bit mad too I think...crazy mad that is. He has crazy eyes. But he tempers it all with that British penchant for always being polite.

Will, I've never seen his stand up. I've only caught him on talk shows. He's got his own late night talk show called "Brand X" which I've not seen. I think now I shall tivo it :)

  7. Is he cashing in on the conspiracy reality TV phenomenon. I'm no fan of MK Brand but he has a powerful presence and liquified the micro-softsellers of spews on that crummy show. It's as bad as 'the Five' on Fox. I've never seen such an array of flunkies that are running morning shows.

They can't stop the reality of whats happening to their control of propaganda and dumbed down idiots are waking up, so it appears they are making it another genre for TV, Movies and Social Media entertainment.

I watched the pbs two hours on the Rothrocks from John D. to the third generation. I was well done, balanced but still a far cry from the truth.

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. …In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.” – Edward Bernays

  12. I meant he was a handler Deb and not a [T.I.] targeted individual. He's slick. Right out the Tavistock Institute.

  13. Thanks Deb,

That was interesting, the Christianoids were too typical kazoo and tyler too booboo...

This scripture of men not laying with men is in the OLD TESTAMENT and I do believe that Jesus, was touted with bringing a NEW TESTAMENT...a new covenant as it were.

I like Jesus. I am not making a judgment as to his divinity at all. I like his attitude and advice's. I like his irreverence of the Jewish bullshit in ancient Palestine.

I do feel that there has been much fable attached to the stories about Jesus that have come down through the ages. A former 'template' seems to have been brought to bear, one that it seems to me that Jesus would have rejected, just as he rejected the dogma of the Jewish priesthood of his time.

One point that Brand made that needs to be reiterated is that all of these books that make up both Testaments were written by human beings. "God doesn't have a pen" as Brand said...

This flows into the book I finished just a few days ago, the one by Julian Jaynes:

“The very notion of truth is a culturally given direction, a part of the pervasive nostalgia for an earlier certainty. The very idea of a universal stability, an eternal firmness of principle out there that can be sought for through the world as might an Arthurian knight for the Grail, is, in the morphology of history, a direct outgrowth of the search for lost gods in the first two millennia after the decline of the bicameral mind. What was then an augury for direction of action among the ruins of an archaic mentality is now the search for an innocence of certainty among the mythologies of facts.”~Julian Jaynes

[These are the very last lines of his famous essay The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind]

It is determined - by very persuasive reasoning, that the breakdown of the bicameral mind was fairly complete by the second century before the birth of Jesus. At that time, the search was on by the newly conscious and very confused human race for some way to glean the "word" of god. It is a fascinating way to interpret how religions came into being and evolved from pantheistic to monotheistic, in particular in the Middle East.

  14. I knew one of the gals was Mika, but wasn't sure which...not that familiar with TV people.

I think she actually lost her cool totally as soon as Brand reminded her of her open front dress when she bent forward in front of the camera {and him} revealing her cleavage. She never recovered from that moment.

If anyone at that table is MK it is Mika. Brand is totally in control of his own psyche. And obviously many of the psyche's he comes in contact with. Most TVPeople as well as their audience in TVLand is already in a slight trance and susceptible to suggestion.

    \\][//

  15. Puddy,

I disagree, there are people who are naturals at this level of consciousness. I don't think Brand's personality can be read that simply. Yours is a snap judgment that needs some further verification beyond simple intuition.

  16. Patrick, I have to agree with Will. If he's a handler.. who is his "victim"? He had a very short marriage to Katy Perry of which he initiated the divorce.

I wonder if George Carlin or Bill Hicks were just starting out today if you'd be suspicious of them as well? Hicks was more an underground cult sensation but Carlin was all over the place in his heyday...tv and movies.

I don't think Brand is MK anything, anymore than Carlin or Hicks were.

That's what I've always said about the Bible Will. Humans wrote it and "deciphered" it. Btw, I love Jesus. I just wish CHRISTians would truly love him too and emulate him instead of hating those unlike them and cheering on bombing innocent people because their CHRISTian leaders tell them that's what Gawd wants …

  21. I'm not surprised Tarpley has come out against Snowden. What I don't get is ..the point. Snowden is meant to cause a rift between U.S. and China? China owns the U.S. don't they? Wtf? I also see the country divided over Snowden's "revelations". Nothing new to us but to the stupid sheeple...I suppose it woke a few up. Then again, they don't agree whether it was a good thing or a bad thing "for the country." depending on where they stand politically on the left or right. Even the right is divided.. they hate Obama but love the govt spying on the "terrorists." Poor political zombies must be so conflicted on both sides.

Maybe that's Snowden's purpose, to keep the mindless confused so they'll go back to watching their teevees and tweeting what they had for lunch.

The de facto inalienability arguments of the Hutcheson and his predecessors provided the basis for the anti-slavery movement to argue not simply against involuntary slavery but against any explicit or implied contractual forms of slavery. Any contract that tried to legally alienate such a right would be inherently invalid. Similarly, the argument was used by the democratic movement to argue against any explicit or implied social contracts of subjection (pactum subjectionis) by which a people would supposedly alienate their right of self-government to a sovereign as, for example, in Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes."

  25. I don't know Deb, who was the COTO member who said Tarpley isn't legit?

I do have issues with Tarpely on some matters, but to say that he is simply not "legit" would be to misrepresent my opinion of him badly.

I don't necessarily agree totally with anyone. I think Tarpley overall has a reasonable analysis the majority of the time.

I did not post Tarpley's article because I agree with it one hundred percent. I think he makes some strong points.

But I also think that there is a tendency to go overboard in coloring anyone who isn't "Perfect" as an agent. We tend to forget that there are countless attitudes and points of view. I am still of the opinion that it is more dangerous to attack anyone who becomes a whistleblower as an "agent" -- afterall, it is only those who have been "inside" who have the information to blow the whistle on. And more than that is the murder of incentive to blow the whistle when anyone doing so is immediately lynched by so many of the "Sophisticati" of sociopolitical analysis.

We should remember above all else, that everyone has their own story, presented by their own unique perspective - and that they are all just stories, allegorical constructs in an attempt to make a cohesive sense of the world.

It is said that "a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing"...
Well then; we are going to have to contend with that very sort of danger, for the quick window of a single human lifetime can only glean a very little bit of knowledge, compared to all there is to know about life and the universe.

Let us not hasten too quickly to judge.

The assumption that TPTB's been hacking into the web keeping tabs on us has been discussed many times here on C1. It's been common acknowledgement throughout many alternate news sites. Our defense is, there's now too many of us. They come after the intellectuals and dissidents first? 29. There is the point made that Snowden was only a "security guard" at NSA. This misframes his position totally. He was in charge of "computer security" ... this isn't some 'renta-cop' position like a guard at the kiosk at the gate of a facility.

It is said that Snowden "claims to be" a computer whiz. Well, if he had a position of computer security at NSA {fer krystesake} he must have had some expertise with computers.

My fall back position remains - I don't know. I don't have enough information to convict Snowden as a provocateur. All I am reading is a lot of theory, from Rappoport, to Global Research to Tarpley: supposition - what about a black swan character, that has all the hallmarks of a provocateur, but is yet still sincere in the quest to inform?

We need to know more before conviction on suppositions.

    \\][//

    ReplyDelete
  30. I wanted to point out that as to the above, that Bradley Manning is "only a private" - in the same sense that Snowden was "only a security guard". Obviously certain individuals are capable of certain jobs regardless of official ranks and classifications.

Oft times a personal secretary will know more about the actual operations of running a large corporation than the CEO she works for.

Rappoport makes a mockery of Snowden talking about Snowdens' "Magic Thumbdrive" in one of his articles. There is nothing magical about thumbdrives - we all have experience with them by now. But if Snowden knew how to over-ride the traces of having downloaded to his thumbdrive from the system...in other words if it was his job, to check for such malfeasance in the system, then what better position is there to have in cracking into the safe?

One more thing - about some of this squawk about "tensions with China"...{a Tarpley assertion} ...Deb mentioned this and I agree with her. China and the US are on the same NWO course, they are playtime enemies...just like in 1984. I suspect this is so as per Putin as well. Intelligence is a house of mirrors full of cigar smoke.

  43. I'm intrigued. I want to know what you mean by "breakdown of the bicameral mind." As a connoisseur of religions, I've seen a lot of similarities between Buddhism and the monotheistic triad, The former is distinguished by rejecting dieties altogether or giving them only secondary recognition, but they share similarities in symbolism and surrounding mythology, and both reject this world as hopelessly evil and have adherents practice asceticism and focus on some sort of afterlife. By contrast, the polythestic religions tend to celebrate the joys of this life and not give an awful lot of thought to the next, except to emphasize an on-going connection with ancestors.

The "missionary religions" as I call them--they all spread "the good word," though Buddhism with less alacrity and violence than Christianity and less coercion than Islam (my impression is Judaism retains many characteristics of polytheism)--arose under conditions of advanced civilization, probably in response to tyranny and mass control by a dehumanized state. Later on they were coopted by the state to varying degrees and became instruments of tyranny in their own right.

Now that Snowden may have been assisted in getting away with what he was doing by Booz Allen unknown to him is a better likelihood. And surely the main manipulation of those two was at the hand-off to the MSM, and the Guardian itself likely involved in the set-up.

I still have that sense about Assange to some degree as well. And I certainly see Bradley Manning as a bright and shining star of true patriotism.

Something should be said for Sybel Edmonds in all this as well, one of the heaviest gagged whistleblowers of all time. She didn't suffer the brutal treatments of Manning, but she was better placed, older and wiser in the route she took - but still it was a matter of courage and honor.

Is available as a free PDF...just put that in your browser and you should find it easily. I highly recommend this book as one of the most profound essays I have ever read.

It may seem difficult and alien at first but I implore all to give it a fair chance...by the end of the first chapter I think anyone with a fair intelligence will be so intrigued that they will simply have to finish it.

You won't be left guessing about the history of religion after the lessons in this book - the scholarship is impeccable, the writing brilliant and succinct, the approach remarkably honest and humble.

I read the 'trade paperback' edition some twenty five years or so ago. Reviewing it now, a little older - a little wiser, it blew my mind again even more than the first time.

Or maybe just a throw-back to what we used to see on The Smothers Brothers, or Laugh-In, or hear from Lenny Bruce, Dick Gregory and those others that put it out there exactly as things were, and could garner laughs, not so much as because what they are pointing out is funny, but it's the next best reaction you can have to pulling out a gun and shooting somebody. Assassination is the only word I will put to this. Hastings was offed as an enemy of the state.

  59. “If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear.”

We’ve all heard this argument a million times when talking to people about the latest revelations of government snooping or the latest roll-out of creepy Orwellian technology. The implication is that the only people who complain about having their privacy violated are criminals who deserve to have their privacy violated. It is a simple phrase, learned by rote, that is meant to bring the conversation to a close."~James Corbett

It's funny, I had this very conversation with my mom today. She said she didn't care.

    Well that is bullshit.

Here is a woman who shreds every envelope with her address on it before she will throw it in the trash. She soaks her labels off of her medicine bottles before they go in the trash.

But then I said something about the NSA thing when the news was on mentioning it. "Oh yea" she said, "they are listening to all of our phone calls now"

I said, "I've been telling you about that for years now mom."

"Well I don't have anything to hide. I'm not doing anything wrong, I don't care."
.... right ... as I said it is bullshit; Doublethink, it doesn't matter because that is the way they are framing it on TV...but she can't put the two and two together in her mind as to how much she DOES care as is proven by her almost fanatical destruction of anything with her name on it before it goes to her trash.

Cognitive Dissonance, right there in front of me.

What could I do but chuckle and shake my head in amazement?

  65. 3 NSA veterans speak out on whistle-blower: We told you so

"When a National Security Agency contractor revealed top-secret details this month on the government's collection of Americans' phone and Internet records, one select group of intelligence veterans breathed a sigh of relief.

Thomas Drake, William Binney and J. Kirk Wiebe belong to a select fraternity: the NSA officials who paved the way.

For years, the three whistle-blowers had told anyone who would listen that the NSA collects huge swaths of communications data from U.S. citizens. They had spent decades in the top ranks of the agency, designing and managing the very data-collection systems they say have been turned against Americans. When they became convinced that fundamental constitutional rights were being violated, they complained first to their superiors, then to federal investigators, congressional oversight committees and, finally, to the news media."

  66. I don't know that I believe all these music celebs are products of MK Monarch. I think many just sell their souls for fame and fortune. What's Katy Perry's background? See, I can only judge what I see on the screen until I have some sort of background proof that it's even possible she was MK'd.

As usual, I am open to any and all information on such things. My mind is not a steel trap at all ;)

I have a hard time feeling sympathy for these "performers" when i know young people are adoring them and being influenced by their satanic rituals. It seriously makes me physically ill when I watch their videos. It goes waaaaaaaaay beyond being just a bad influence on kids.

It just annoys the hell outta me that they'd even THINK that let alone say it out loud. Who do they think they are fooling? To say nothing of the fact that the "spies" could trump up something and plant it on your computer or whatever and use THAT against you and destroy your reputation and good name. Do they even think through such things? No they do not.

  71. Worldwide, 74% of countries that used torture on an administrative basis were U.S. client states, receiving military and other support to retain power.

My question is this; Do we eliminate in toto the critique of any we designate as a “left gatekeeper'?

We may, and I have as well, lambasted the notion of “Blowback” as the all defining answer. But this is only because in focusing only on Blowback there is the tendency to dismiss the reality of False Flags.

But Blowback is eminently rational in terms of cause and effect. It is only the irrationality of dismissing the historical fact of False Flag operations to defend the Blowback theory that becomes clickish error.

As an example of what I am trying to express here can be examined in this quote by Chomsky, who is well known as a 'Left Gatekeeper':

"The Obama administration is dedicated to increasing terrorism. In fact, it’s doing it all over the world. Obama is running the biggest terrorist operation that exists, maybe in history: the drone assassination campaigns, which are just part of it [...] All of these operations, they are terror operations."

Do we reject this obvious truth simply because Chomsky is on record as seeing 9/11 Truth as insignificant in his overall critic of systemic power?

I don't think anyone here would argue with Chomsky, or say this statement is incorrect, or even an attempt to hide something deeper. There is a range of opinion and analysis, and I think it best to keep in mind that there are valid issues and expositions that can come from both the left and the right, and it is in their totality that we see the synthetic nature of the dialectical between them. The Left makes accurate critics of the Right, and visa versa. It is in remaining aware of each and not rejecting either that stands as the middle ground of sanity, in my view.

  72. “No matter how you slice this particular pie, a Mercedes is not just going to explode into flames without a little assistance,” writes freelance journalist Jim Stone.
Hastings “had the Central Intelligence Agency in his sights” and was set to release an article exposing the agency, according to L.A. Weekly.
The Obama administration and the Justice Department have openly claimed the authority to assassinate American citizens anywhere in the world if they are deemed a national security threat. A number of American citizens have already been killed as a result of this policy. Is it really that crazy to suggest that Michael Hastings was merely the latest victim of this doctrine?

The New York Daily News highlights the fact that Hastings had received multiple death threats before his demise.

Following his role in bringing down Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, Hastings was told by a McChrystal staffer, “We’ll hunt you down and kill you if we don’t like what you write.”

“Whenever I’d been reporting around groups of dudes whose job it was to kill people, one of them would usually mention that they were going to kill me,” said Hastings.

If this was an isolated incident then there wouldn’t be so many questions swirling about Hastings’ death. However, he’s certainly not the first individual to go up against the military-industrial complex and wind up in a coffin.

Other journalists who have proven to be a thorn in the side of the establishment have met the same fate, from Andrew Breitbart who was about to release damaging pre-election information about Barack Obama before he collapsed and died in strange circumstances, to Gary Webb, the Pullitzer prize-winning author who exposed the CIA’s involvement in the drug trade and subsequently committed “suicide” after apparently shooting himself in the head – twice.

It’s virtually inevitable that the true cause of Michael Hastings death will never be known and that the mainstream media will demonize anyone who questions the official narrative as a conspiracy theorist. Meanwhile, journalists and others who pose a threat to the military-industrial complex will continue to die in bizarre “accidents” that stink of foul play.

Yes, Zionists painting their enemy black. It is in their consistency of attack regardless of the issue of the story. Are we to suppose then that it was the CIA that Hastings was gunning for with his pen - so the Mossad offed him? Convoluted to say the least.

  77. Dawn, if you have links that katy perry is a product of Mk Monarch and Brand is her handler, I'd certianly love to see them.

Personally, I think it's more a case that most of these creeps sell their souls to the highest bidder (satanists?) to achieve quick fame and fortune. In return, they are told what to put in their videos such as the satanic type rituals and symbolism all over music videos today. THe "artists" give up all rights to having any creative input of their own. WHich in fact, is the definition of selling out.

I certainly believe there are satanists involved in producing these pos music vids. Where I think we may disagree is in the fact that all these women that make them are Mk Monarch slaves. That I don't buy.. not all of them.

  78. One more note about Snowden.

I couldn't help but notice that both the mainstream goobers, the government and the alternate sites all make a big deal out of him being a HS dropout.

As I just finished reading John Taylor Gatto's WEAPONS OF MASS INSTRUCTION, these critiques struck me as especially woowoo.

Dropping out of school in no way defines one as ignorant, it defines one as less indoctrinated. I found Rappoport using this line as especially ludicrous, considering his normal take on such situations. A matter of hypocritically blocking one set of one's sensibilities in favor of the present argument.
Not a high point in Jon's writing career.

  83. The repulsion was mutual, especially after Brand cut loose and refused to be vapid like the rest of them, tittering nervously. No apparent intelligence there. The looks "Dianna" was giving him had me nearly falling off my chair with laughter--and that is impressive because we sit on the floor in Japan. If she is the daughter of Zbigniew, chances are there is a lot hidden underneath that empty looking shell, unless she really has been totally zombified (I look forward to seeing your sources, Dawn). One rule Lobaczewski pointed out about the worst form of psychopathy is "like father, like daughter." The Cheney pair of psychopaths have provided an excellent example.

I was brought onto Japanese TV once, and coached beforehand to be as vapid as humanly possible. They wanted no surprises.

  87. About five minutes before we went on air, a lady came in and demanded that I say absolutely nothing about religion whatsoever (I was being featured as Japan's first foreign Shinto priestess). I knew from where the order had originated--the shrine that had trained me. I was being used as a political tool, and I knew it, and had some sympathy for their position. "Mr I" had all kinds of things he wanted me to say, and I had no intention of saying any of them. He also demanded that my TV appearance be kept secret from the shrine until about ten minutes before I went on air, which is when he called them. I did my little half-assed spiel, I had very little practice and no deep knowledge of Shinto at the time, and resented being spotlighted that way, but felt felt under obligation. So, yes, I was vapid.
