India **** Ongoing ethnic violence in northeastern India has caused panic among residents from the affected area throughout the country. At least 80 people have been killed and more than 400,000 others have been displaced by the violence, which began in Assam state on 19 July 2012. Thousands of people with ties to the area are attempting to flee major cities, such as Bangalore and Mumbai, prompted by threatening mass text messages, which promise retaliation for the ongoing violence. An 11 August riot in Mumbai tied to the crisis -- which led to two fatalities and dozens of injuries -- has also heightened fears.

Officials have banned mass texting for 15 days; individuals will be unable to send more than five SMS messages at a time. Additional trains are being scheduled to reduce the strain on the rail network, and authorities are attempting to rein in price gouging on domestic airline tickets for those attempting to return to the northeast.

I'm glad you put up this thread Puddy. If there would be any reason for the Nat'l Guard to deploy, I would think this would rate it. This is a choice target for pyromaniacs and other twisted individuals to exploit. Like Japan and other "problems", Cover-Up seems to be the name of the game without shame or consideration for potential loss of life. That residents are the ones who have to raise a stink to get any action is pitiful.

With the reverse thinking in mind it could easily prove that between scanners, fingerprinting, handheld credit card swipes, or other biometric systems they have instant identification of terabtyes of information capable in mere milseconds.
