When Our Nation Needs Leadership Most -- No One is Home

As the World Turns, Burns, and Gasps – Where Will You Find Your Political Representatives?

Let the reality sink in!  I am incensed!

Where are they…and What are they Doing?!

WE the People want to know!

DATELINE:  Friday Night Hockey Game -- Last evening, YOUR V.P. Biden and his wife were enjoying a Stanley Cup Finals hockey game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers.  How do I know?  I flipped the channel from Anderson Cooper 360 -- where he was addressing pressing issues regarding the BP Oil debacle -- over to the hockey game, and low and behold  --  there was V.P. Biden looking all relaxed with his wife next to him drinking a very large soda.  Why is this important?

Because this hockey game probably took up 3 ½ hours of his very, very, valuable time, while also sucking up untold taxpayer dollars for his security detail, and many more resources regarding his travel to and from “the game”.

If I had the means, I would juxtapose the clip of Biden and his wife with the Anderson Cooper 360 interviews, and cut back and forth between them to make my point.  Listening and seeing 20 minutes of ghastly accounts of the Gulf tragedy, more insightful comments by Parish President, Billy Nungesser, and the problems, and the lack of resources being approved, and more -- then cutting to Biden taking in a "game" -- Blows My Mind!  I am deeply offended by this scenario and the reality of it all!

While all Hell is breaking loose with domestic issues and insurmountable problems around the world, one of the top guys that can “make things happen” is being entertained and distracted from addressing anything of importance!  The Gulf dies because of ineptitude and negligence, and this guy is relaxing like nothing important  is going on; like he has no responsibilities or cares in the world.  Despicable!!!

Obama was feted with Beyonce and other distractions a week or so ago while “doing” a State-of-the-Union address backed up against a mini-vacation.  I believe I’m seeing the State of our Union folks, and it requires a complete paradigm shift on the part of people everywhere to realize their “representatives” are asleep on the job, are recreating while our country and way of life is bleeding out by the Death of a Million cuts.

So I gotta say  -- WE are NOW WATCHING YOU!  And YOU will not escape accountability for the frauds you most certainly are; for criminal negligence while serving in public office!

Americans deserve and require serious people who are “on the job” serving OUR interests.

I have already started writing a piece about Political Surveillance, the reversal of the microscope from being pointed at citizens to being pointed back at People’s Representatives in positions of power.

Corporate leaders shall not escape Public Scrutiny either!  Orwellian surveillance can spin right around and focus on the government who got Too Big for Their Britches.

Please raise your voice, point, and scream the best you know how, when you see your Public Servants misusing their office and abusing the trust they are “given”.  Sleeping on the job often results in firing – and these clowns need to be held accountable and FIRED for impersonating Public Servants.

  1. I started my company in 2004. For six years I have not had a weeks vacation. That's because I need 100% attention to keep 12 people employed.

I think this should be accepted conduct for every public servant. They should not have a pension either unless they put 12 years or more by re-election. At which time the elites and wealthy should personally rescind it.

Thanks for the header Puddy -- nice one! I emailed Anderson Cooper. I don't expect anything, but it could be a great story with pictures.

When you see people suffering and working hard to get some help on the ground and in the Gulf, it is quite disturbing to see the highest officials in the land feeding their face and watching attending sporting events. At least they aren't at the Arena killing Christians...yet!

The elites truly don't care about the people, the environment or anything else, unless it perpetuates their "power and money" lifestyles.

I am sickened by the stench.

  3. Well, being a girl who grew up in Philly that saw the Flyers win the cup in '75 I have to admit I was watching the game last night and saw that bastard Biden on my teevee screen. I had the same reaction as you.

But really, do we expect anything more from our make believe "public servants."?

When I heard people calling for the CEO of BP to resign I wanted to scream.. RESIGN?!! HOW ABOUT ARREST!!!! Nothing is done to the bigshots. They literally get away with murder. It's time for the revolution.

  4. I could go on at some length about this - I've thought about writing a book, perhaps "The Hitchhiker's Guide to U.S. Politics," to expose the whole fraud.

The thing is that politics runs with rules-of-thumb that are useless if you care for accurate information, well planned deliverables, or competent implementation leading to positive outcomes of policies. Those latter are the good things that used to be expected of government.

But the rules of thumb serve to dumb-down the whole job of political leadership, to the point where incompetent people can continue to hold their jobs.

Here's one example: "If it's not on TV - it didn't happen." This means that if a problem or issue appears in a newspaper or a magazine, politicians don't really need to answer the problem/issue. However, if CNN gets around to broadcasting the problem/issue, then suddenly it lights a fire under their ass.

In addition, one could study these three kinds of policy:
    - monetary policy
    - fiscal policy
    - trade policy

But, politicians are taught that the Fed handles all monetary policy, and that trade policy is handled by the WTO (formerly GATT). So they don't need to know much, nor think too hard, nor articulate much about monetary or trade policy. The result is that their focus is only on one: fiscal policy.

Fiscal policy means taxes and spending. This is why political campaigns are filled with rhetoric about taxes and spending. The rules of thumb have dumbed down politicians themselves, and abstracted away any thoughts about things in monetary policy, trade policy, or problems/issues that do not appear on television.

The "business model" of politics therefore has cookie-cutter answers, and no need for politicians to break a sweat.

Their real job is to wake up in the morning, look snappy in a power suit, and talk a good game (or hem and haw) their way to the end of day. And that job is quite easy when the media has stopped asking hard questions.

Those rules of thumb, combined with media acceptance of same, makes easy work out of a hard job. It's all too convenient for incompetent political decision makers.

  5. So true John and well stated. It's almost as if most Americans listen to the CNN/FOX pundits to actually determine what these windbags, empty suits and actors think.

It's really our problem as much as theirs.

What happens when Miss Teen South Carolina get's to vote? She won't go to Newsweek for two reasons. It's in the tank and hers is already empty.

I've sounded like a broken record in the many postings here saying that incompetence is the rule of thumb and it's now acceptable as it's been drummed into the psyche of sheep for so long by design.

My father broke my heart a few days ago when he said "It's just too big and complicated to be anything but unmanagable at this point" referring to resolving the inefficiency of government. He's not senile, stupid or vaccinated, but brainwashed thoroughly now.

My madness began when I started seeing the pundits repeat the incumbents state of the union address moments after the president just finished.
That's when I knew they were dumbing down America.

I hope you write the guide but you may need offer a cd with pictures for the people that need your insight the most :)

Valuable points made in your comments gentlemen and ladies.

I'm just going organic with my response to these twits and their twaddle -- Kind of a bUSHism back on them: YOU are PART of THE PROBLEM, and, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

These people are literally societal Blackholes; sucking even light into the space they take up.

Nothing positive or good for humanity seems to come out of them...ever! When's the last time you actually could say one of these empty power suits "contributed" something positive? When?

ALL the News we ever hear, see, or read is depressing shit. Going back years now. A new damned record I suppose for government screwing the sheeple.

So (answering JG), I actually do have expectations of public servants. Very high expectations for performance even. That we get and tolerate people like George W, and don't send their frat boy asses packing, galls me.

I don't want my public servants chilling, when the spilling is going on. Ticks me OFF!

  7. Joe "I am a Zionist" Biden is not concerned about things, for example after the Israeli homicide spree on the humanitarian workers' ship in international waters, Biden actually said "What's the big deal?"
    Enjoy the game, sucka.
In every previous collapse, not only did the elites leading the failure not perceive they too would be vulnerable, but more importantly masses of stupid people followed them until the end out of fear of breaking with the herd mentality.

  8. Boom, notice I said "make believe" public servants". The ones we have now for the very most part are corrupt and working for the banksters and corporate warlords. We need NEW blood, REAL public servants. THe ones posing as representatives in congress and the white house now are fakes and frauds and I don't expect anything good for the people to come from these bastards. THROW THEM ALL OUT!

I'm savvy Mary and JG. They're FREAKS! No doubt.

I'm just using this one example to point out their callousness and a big reason to take Smilin Joe Biden, Obomba and their ilk to the woodshed.

The People must see them for the rabid frauds and traitors they are to humanity. Until this sinks in, we're sunk. When it does sink in, may a revolution begin, that will improve our world instead of continue to degrade under these thugs watchful eyes.
