BAD DREAM # 724

not the onlt dirty bird in this fiasco

BAD DREAM # 724  -  This entry was posted on Saturday, June 28th, 2008 at 2:25 am and is filed under Bad dreams.

Exxon has decided to give back some of the huge windfall gains by offering oil at $50 a barrel. Their plan is to sell the oil off Prince William Sound. Yes for $50 a barrel, first come first serve.   The 262,000 barrels that are laying in the Alaskan waters are up for grabs. They are hoping to make up some more of the $500,000,000 gift they got from the Supreme Court of King George Bush II. They stand to make another $13,000,000 which will likely go to pay off the executives who have suffered so much trauma over the NINETEEN YEARS it took to litigate.

Since this event in 1989, it is likely that revenues have exceeded  $500,000,000,000 (yes, 500 billion) and the decision to reduce the punitive damages from 2.5 billion to .5 billion was sure to boost shareholders a nickel.

The company had fought against paying any punitive damages after the jury in Alaska ordered a 5 billion dollar punitive judgement in 1994. A federal appeals court later cut that figure in half.  Exxon felt they had paid off enough with a 3.4 billion dollar bill over the 19 years.

If my math is right that is less than 1% of their revenue for the same period.  Add this to the ENRON LOOPHOLE and HALLIBURTON NO BID and you got the HAT TRICK. Congratulations to King Bush on another CON JOB  against America and another WINDFALL for his cronies.

______________

It's hard to believe these were the good days in comparison. Based upon this example we have a ten year cleanup and a fifty year litigation to look forward to.  The people of NOLA have a less likely chance over the eskimos and natives under Barry's World order.

  1. And don't you think the strain isn't starting to show. Even the bubbly, personality Whole-Food people can't hide it anymore.

There is a blanket of oppressive death and heat hanging over this area.

Only the totally oblivious, of which there are still far too many, know something is terribly wrong.

Others here tell me its not yet time to abandon this area, having no means to do otherwise at this time, there's not much I can do about that.

I'm among the walking dead. I always knew that.

What's different now, is almost everyone else knows it now too.

M, Brother...what makes you think there are not Open arms to welcome you many other places?

Many prayers have been said for the Gulf and it's people, and you as well. That does not mean things will not work out as they are ordained.

But You, are certainly not among the walking dead -- You are of the Shouting Living. You are even more than your voice, your work... you are a True Patriotic Spirit Walking Tall! And there is always a place for You. And this isn't some offhanded feelgood tripe I'm typing 'cause its easy and I'm not standing in your shoes. You can stretch out your faith and test it whenever you like.

Click your heels, and many will come to whisk you away. I'm betting on it!

  3. Mr. M, you've got friends as far away as Japan, and I see someone from Trinidad and Tobago is visiting right now too. You will always have many friends worrying about you.
BTW, it looks like I got the heave-ho from OEN, though it really puzzles me. No notice, no warning, not a hint. The only thing that I can think of that might have led to it was that an EMF activist I mentioned in an article was trying to get his name deleted from the article, or the article deleted (18 months old), because he had mentioned details about his own electrosensitivity and was facing harassment from people who were now reading the article. So he and I both started trying to contact Rob about it, and got no response. After my third try, my registration suddenly disappeared and I couldn't log in. Am I right that this is typical of a banning there?

  4. boom,

I know you care, and thank you for that. But like those poor fish trapped in the toxic sea, there's no real escape.

Like facing the seven-levels of grief, only this time its death, you go through the stages.

You simply can't imagine the impact this is having on people that have already suffered so much. Many people were just getting over the grief from what was lost over Katrina. Now this.

And these are strong people, defiant, proud, resourceful people. And this is breaking them as nothing has ever broken them before. They could come back from the hurricanes, fires, floods and plagues, but this, they can't play God and restore the fish in the sea.

I don't know how this will turn out, I'll try clicking my heals, at this stage I'll try anything. For right now I have to will my heart to beat, and if it should finally refuse to accept my command I'll have to trust that it was just my time to go.

  5. M, get up stand up don't give up the fight. You of all people have the kind of heart to face a bleak future of devastation for Louisiana. Stay free. Stay strong.
I doubt the rig can be shut off and am also shocked at the scale of this disaster over the next months and years. Hold out where you are if possible to protect your land as long as it's healthy to stay. If you will be forced out notify COTO or other truth communities for sanctuary unless you get a nicer offer from government. Most any organic ag sanctuary that has fought GMO would find your company sympathetic and that will be a good place anyway as the US collapses. Don't be afraid to get dirty and sweat whatever happens, it will be like that for many more of us soon, old and decrepit as we already are. Think of songs around the campfire and fetching water, the simple pleasures of life. The phenomenal economic collapse ahead would have been one major mofo experience anyway.
This hideous endgame in the Gulf may just break the US crime syndicate wide open if people begin to investigate it for themselves. It might begin to look obvious a massive crime was committed. In six months, who knows, catastrophe for LA but a day of reckoning for the puppetmasters. Things cannot continue like this. Nature will find a way to deal with those responsible, I mean human nature will, brother. They royally fucked up this time in the Gulf. Israel just went too far attacking a NATO member. Shock Doctrine is going to one day run into cascading problems it can't solve. When it buckles we're gonna need you around.
Patricia, seriously, why would you want to hang around OEN anyway?

  6. And just think. These birds and other animals are people, too, every one of them, with all the same reactions as those of the rest of us, but much more personally and lethally involved. - Yes, just for some dumb perverted jerks' mythical cash.

But do the Rothschilds and other CEOs care about them? No, and they don't give any more of a damn about any of us.

So why should we give a damn about any of them.

Rope and the block, please, for the lot of them.

    And I mean it.

  7. Flak yes!
we(or rather you over there) can't present the poor terified and ill or dying wildlife to the mainstreet public to really see the hurting.
    but..
well there IS a lot of oil from changes around..maybe some mysterious members of the populace will fins a way to present their buildings and their doorsteps with some of their product...to give them a feel for it .
an aerial dump would be sooo sweet!
I know I also am dreaming, but its a sweet dream, not the nightmare M and so many others are having to live IN.
    dont just get angry....get even!

  8. Amen to all of the above! I love you people! M knows he is loved and definitely has places to go when he's ready.

I am so sickened by what's happening there I can barely take it anymore. We aren't even seeing the truth of it all. They keep showing that one oil drenched pelican sitting there looking pathetically sad. I sent the email about GS & Halliburton, along with the audio of the blackout to my entire email list. Not one person has emailed me back. I'm sure they're all saying... oh there goes "debbie downer" again. We don't wanna hear it. However, they caught Natalie Holloway's killer... that's the REAL news!

I'm so fed up, I could spit nails.

  9. Patricia (Oh) consider yourself now an official member of this ragtag fleet because the majority of us here were ousted in the most unceremonious of ways. We knew the truth and exposed it while the numbskulls at oen were busy prostrating themselves at the feet of their new god Obama. Rob Kall named us the "darkness gallery". Which encouraged M to say, we are more a "coalition of the obvious". The name stuck and we ended each of our posts with COTO. Puddy created our symbol and RK and the editors except for our Rady HATED us for it.

Being ousted from op ed snooze was the best thing that ever happened to us, internetally speaking ;) Look at them over there now. Reciting the same stuff we tried to tell them before the election of Barry Soetoro.

  10. Hiya JerseyG, yeah I did the same, and just the same. well I know that 4 friends will at least read and learn. the rest, One has admitted its just too hard to have to think.
Its a sad and sacary thing, but a TV show can gain such a large part of someones attention span, more so than their own families/countries dramas happening around them quite often. I want to ask, WTF? are you giving any attention to fiction when reality is what matters to actually living, or staying alive.
    they wouldnt get it.
If you asked them to read a chapter of a book per day and discuss it afterwards they also would probably find that too hard also.
the TV screen/subliminal?? somethings not quite right.
ask them did they wonder about a 2 min News item and feel any need to be better and more fully informed...likeliest answeris no, as if?? a very short edit of anything is more than enough for them to be asked to absorb.
Happy to criticise/scoff at an opinion holder, but have NO opinion or have ever given it though themselves.

M, my neighbor spent his first 28 years in LA. His parents are 50 miles from New Orleans.

I implore you to keep the on-the-ground news coming out of there. Keep your chin up, and your head down.

  12. Thank you, yes. I actually feel relieved to be out of there. There are some good writers, but even if I posted a comment, I was just ignored. We've got somereally great people on COTO, and I was really missing you all until I was able to find out where you all went. I'll get busy and post up something I wrote with OEN in mind, but held off on, waiting for a good juncture to broach a *gasp* controversial subject.

    ReplyDelete
  13. nice you found us again patricia. you really will not miss dropdeadEdnews.
controversy only exists if the mind is closed.
some people ie COTO know it as truth:-)

  14. Thank you for the welcome here! I'm so glad I could find you prior to getting booted. There was not so much as a peep at OEN--okay I hear there actually was one, in a diary, and it got stifled really fast, so I had no clue. Rob strikes me as extremely vindictive. I read his page on banning recently, and also noted the diary format got changed so as to eliminate rants there. If Boomerang hadn't been there, no one would have told me when I finally got up the nerve to ask what had become of COTO. I think Mr. M (unless I'm mistaken) was trying to invite me over to Live Journal, but I just don't do Live Journal.

Rob keeps begging everyone for money. I wonder if he has felt like he had to cut some unsavory deals with sponsors under the table. I feel REALLY sorry for Mark G., who is still getting harassed because Rob can't see his way to giving the poor guy a break and removing his name and/or details of his medical history. It's my responsibility, too, so I will start phoning Rob for some attention to the matter. Bizarre. No other word for it.

  16. Look guys and gals, you cyber-buddies of mine, many of you are closer to me than some of the flesh and blood people I have, and I appreciate that.

And I'm sorry if I have been coming off gloomy, but it hasn't been easy around here lately for yours truly. And in addition to the "feel'n sorry for myself" blues, I can only imagine people that have experienced continued periods of war having the collective psychological damage that has been done to the people of this area.

We were just starting to come back from Katrina. These are some of the most resilient and resourceful people I've ever encountered. Having witnessed as many of them scratched back, fighting a system that is designed to crush them every step of the way, stretching them to the limit, some of them over it, and now seeing the looks on their faces, well, you have to witness something like this to really know.

We're just going through the motions now. You can see the wheels turning as everyone is trying to figure out what will happen next and when, and wondering what in the hell they'll be able to do about it.

If a storm should come, all bets are off. There's no way anyone will be able to stay here. And if you think the displacement of hundreds-of-thousands was a burden during Katrina, wait until we witness tens-of-millions. Communities already on the brink aren't likely to be as welcoming as they were during Katrina. Just the chaos this would create is hard to imagine.

At times I feel like I'd be like that character in a Carl Hiaasen novel and strap myself to the Mississippi Bridge and scream at the Gods to bring it on and defy them to do their worst.

But I don't know if I'm that brave or crazy.

So I will be looking at options. But remember if I come I will be coming as naked as a baby. And I don't want to go anywhere that I'll be just another mouth to feed. If I can't pull my weight I don't want to be anywhere.

  17. Mr. M., I hope you and yours are doing well. I pray daily that they can cap this oil. God only knows.

Years ago, when they were contemplating whether to drill (gouge) the Earth's mantle in search of oil, I was sitting on the beach in beautiful Dunedin, Fl thinking "drilling in the Gulf would be F'n crazy!" especially if there were a spill.

Sadly, what is happening ain't a spill. They knew there was a large quantity of oil and the huge sums of money to be made.

So how many scientists, geologists exactly knew the ramifications of drilling into the Earth's mantle at these depths at sea, but didn't speak out? Where was the oversight? NONE! Especially with BP's mendacious and reckless track record. All because of a rapacious few.

These greedy F'n bastards have created a living hell here on Earth. It didn't have to be this way. To hell with them all!

This is an interesting article. Who would a thunk it? They knew!

    Eastern Gulf of Mexico Overview

On July 2, 2001, Interior Secretary Gale Norton announced that Sale 181 would be adjusted from 5.9 million acres to about 1.5 million acres or 256 blocks. The adjusted area lies more than 100 miles off the Alabama/Florida State line. Twenty-three blocks in this area were under lease at that time. Lease Sale 181 was held on December 5, 2001. MMS awarded leases on 95 tracts involving $340,474,113. Seventeen companies participated in this sale.

  19. I have almost been unable to work I'm so far in the dumper. I squawked immediately that this was no accident. Every minute that goes by raises the hair on my back :( yes sadly I have it.

This is so despicably a committee move for global green, military staging and mind control 101 that I can barely control my anger when talking to my doctors.

They are telling me BCBS and Aetna are denying their cliams and cutting their reimbursements. It is theft and destruction on all fronts now.

The Bilderberg confirms they are in an elevated red alert right now and are subject to HAARP flooding like Arkansas and a hurricane season to make "05" look like a rainy day.

My number crunching has placed serious activity for Mexico and Honduras. If correct this could have serious consequences for oil beaches from Texas to Key West.

What happens in August I still don't know but it will be another catastrophe for the Americas.

  20. This is getting so freakin' bad. If anyone is interested in exchanging phone numbers and or addresses in case of an internet shutdown, I'm more than willing to share mine with trusted coto members.. We need to have alternate methods of communication and it's time to start seriously making plans to that end if we want to stay in touch.

If they are there and it is UN, I would imagine when needed they could easily use magnetic lettering or is it painted?

Regardless, the oil doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. Last night I listened to the Lindsey Williams interview with Alex, and Lindsey said if you smell oil you are probably breathing in other compounds.

God help these people and the sea and wildlife.

    This didn't have to happen. I F'n HATE these mother F'ers! I don't think they're human.

  26. Welcome Patricia.

Kall is a creep who is afraid of the truth, so he banished those who spoke the truth from his website. His site is nothing more than a circle jerk.

Thanks in part to Boomerang, some people there are beginning to awaken from their catatonic slumber. they're afraid of what is happening. It's not like we didn't warn them. Was it ignorance or just being daft?

    Cause I'm the daft man, yeah-ah! I'm the daft man an . . .

The only person who posts articles at OEN who is worth reading is Stephen Lendman. You can also read his work at Rense.

  37. Well?

Lets see, yesterday I received a call from a women about the rooms I have for rent. Her name was Ruby, Ruby Moon.

    I'm not making this up.

She said she was a jazz-singer, and that she would be singing at a bar on Decatur St, that night. Upstairs, of course.

So I'm thinking, born and raised New Orleans, torch-singer named Ruby Moon - what could go wrong?

Let me tell ya, my first look and I'd give her the rooms if I could afford to. Anyway, it turns out I know her piano player and I my start to play percussion with them.

Ruby is not moving in - Ruby and a cold glass of water would kill me. She is that good - and bad.

All this as the Earth washes out from beneath my feet.

That's how I am. Caught between Heaven and Hell.
