RAND ISLE, La. - Jefferson Parish Emergency managers say they have commandeered all of BP's hired boats in Grand Isle.
A representative for Jefferson Parish Emergency chief Deano Bonano said they requested immediate action after oil moved into the marsh passes and onto the beaches in Grand Isle.
He said more than 40 boats were sitting idle while he watched the oil rush into the passes.
At around 5:30 p.m., Jefferson Councilman Chris Roberts confirmed the boats have been commandeered by JP emergency managers.

There is a growing consensus that this was not an accident. People are getting very angry. Things could blow-up here.
I'm trying to caution against violence, but any provocateur would be a match right now.
The whole area is walking around in a daze. The realization of the evil of these cretins is beyond the pale. Never in my wildest imagination did I think that they'd go this far, even though I know they were capable.

Someday I'll have to tell you about me vs the LA Narcotics Dept. ... a real "Alice's Restaurant" on steroids story. And I did eventually thought it better for me to butt-out when they started busting hard-drug dealers, that were paying them off, and telling them I was a snitch, and so they would "do what was necessary".
But who knows? It might just get so ugly here it wouldn't be worth fighting for. At any rate, is there really anywhere to escape to? What's coming won't be regional. This just happens to be what has turned out to be the front lines.
