Firas Alkhateeb - "...who said being a socialist is evil?"

whysocapitolist "It really doesn't make any sense to me at all," he said. "To accuse him of being a socialist is really ... immature. First of all, who said being a socialist is evil?" - Firas Alkhateeb

...the following is an excerpt from a recent LA Times article from which the above quote originates:

"On Jan. 18, Alkhateeb uploaded the image to photo-sharing site Flickr (shown at right). Over the next two months, he amassed just a couple jokerbamathousand hits, he said.

Then the counter exploded after a still-anonymous rogue famously found his image, digitally removed the references to Time Magazine, captioned the picture with the word "socialism" and hung printed copies around L.A., making headlines."

(Read the complete LA Times article here.)

Oh, the contradictions one can find by looking a bit closer.

Beware of GCN shills.

  1. I prefer the joker poster with him labeled "fascism." It suits him to a T.

Or in a backward sense he is a socialist. Taking money from the people to give to the banksters and corporations.

Supporting socialism requires an enormous amount of trust in those that rule the country. Does anyone here trust THIS particular government to do the right thing by the people if it conflicts with the ability of the corporation to turn a profit?

    Nope, didn't think so.

  2. The grassroots fascist movement is like a 50 pound dog with a 100 lb. tick on his back and another on his belly. The middle class feeds the political elite on top and the dem-wit food-stamp section 8 base of voters and activists on the bottom. Just as Hitler and Ceaser failed so will the 4th reich. Now can we survive the failure ? That is the 500 trillion dollar question.

  4. Its plain as day, City Year,ACORN, union thugs beating up conservatives and Obama Jugen in the classroom starting Tuesday at 12 central time. Have we been on vacation overseas the last 6 months ?

  5. Thank you for spelling it out, Korn. You have a very good case there with all three you've mentioned but especially all three as a trio. The one thing you mention doesn't seem to fit, though. While ACORN, City Year and the Obama Jugend are organisations, and not all three are necessarily of grassroots origin, the isolated incident of a man having been beaten up at a townhall meeting, tea party, tupperware party or whatever doesn't fit into the same picture. Oh, sure, it did happen and even more will happen. It just doesn't fit into the same category as the trio mentioned above. Fascism is alive on the streets of the USA as we speak today, yes. If I recall correctly, this is what the left has been trying to tell the conservaive for the past ten or so years. We saw this coming. I personally saw the danger in Obama being elected pResident and I documented this for all to see on OEN. I wasn't joking when I said we would all be better off with Sarah Palin in the White House. Obama is a turbo Bush. Nothing has changed, the committee only shifted gears and now the exhaust pipes are glowing. The fascism we had under Bush has gone into warp 3, Mr. Sulu.

So now, conservative are concerned. How sweet. And so we meet in the middle of the road. Nice to see you guys again, even nicer to see you finally coming to your senses. But it is a little lae, dontcha thank?

I haven't been on vacation overseas for the last 6 months. I live overseas.

  6. Amen to that Curt. Funny how so many right wingers only see the fascism now. (I'm not speaking of korn here at all) However, when the Bush regime was shredding the constitution, they didn't seem to notice.

Obama is continuing the fascist Bush policies and accelerating them.

The people who have been paying attention all along, progressive or conservative know this and have left the vapid, dumbass, brainwashed republicans and democrats behind wallowing in the mud of partisan politics. Screw them.

  7. Double amen on this.

    Excellent point Tony.

  8. And the GOP[hers] are obliging the Committee by inciting these extremists encounters and buying into these outrageous stagings. From the 911, $ meltdown, runaway power trips and Obama's lunatic voyage into H1N1 reform.

Made for Martial law. Fever pitch and we seal our fates. The Pendulum swings further to the extreme each time the election bell tolls.

We the COTO and lucid folks will feel the blade slice accross our bellies if we don't get the united victims of earth to see the one percent solution.
