GUARDIAN UK: Nearly six months since the devastating war in Gaza, Palestinians are still living amid the rubble. Despite stirring talk of reconstruction efforts, little has changed. Inigo Gilmore visits the devastated neighbourhoods to see how families are coping. VIDEO included.
The al-Attar family, in this video, were first visited by the Guardian's Clancy Chassay three months ago.

How devastatingly sad. Those poor people. When will justice be served? The Israeli govt should be brought to it's knees for the destruction and death it has caused to the people of gaza.
ReplyDeleteBut we know that will never happen. They will continue on with their killing spree, with the help of the U.S. govt, until the last palestinian gasps his or her final breath.
Words cannot describe the anger I feel at such injustice.
No Jersey Girl, words cannot begin to describe the anger which both yourself and others including myself feel toward these horrid war crimes.
ReplyDeleteGod bless George Galloway, and to all those including Tony Benn, who braved the long and dangerous much needed aid convoy, which did reach the innocent people of Gaza who continue to suffer needlessly.

Amen! And we can't assume Israel will always be able to bully them.
ReplyDeleteIf Gazans have the fortitude to stay the course, we have to also believe they will prevail. Many Israelis are going father and farther off the deep end. I don't see how even "pretend" civilized nations can continue to excuse their depravity.

Remnants of an Israeli white phosphorus shell, identified by the marking on the outer casing — M825A1 — have been found in the village of Sheikh Ajilin in western Gaza.

Witnesses in Gaza said that the shell was fired on January 9 and was taken indoors as evidence. They recalled seeing thick smoke and smelling a strong odour in keeping with the garlic-like smell associated with white phosphorus. Hebrew writing on the shell casing reads “exploding smoke” התפוצצות עשן the term the Israeli army uses for white phosphorus.
