Got through 8:15 CST, with Flynt Leverett, former CIA, and got to mention COTO.
We need more people calling in. I could of used a back-up. Maybe someone to elaborate on Operation Mockingbird and give the source of my TWITTER comment.
Come on guys, we want to effect change, get to calling.
Did you say "Twitter"?

Thanks, Willy, spot on as always ...

ReplyDeleteTell us where and when to call.
We will follow our glorious leader into the information battlefield.

Michael,
ReplyDeleteI usually just wake-up and turn on C-SPAN's Washington Journal, and start dialing in if the guest or subject matter seems of interest.
My contention is that if enough of us make a habit of calling in that it would be inevitable that two or more of us could get on with the same guest, or a follow-up later in the show.
We could use code names to identify each other, maybe say our name and where we're from, such as: "this is Michael from Madison", in this way everyone of us that get's on that opens in that way, the rest of us would know that is a member of COTO. I often use aliases and change locations because I'm constantly violating their 30-day call-in policy. But if you were to hear me say, "this is Frog from Pondsville", you'd know.
And it really doesn't matter if we respond specifically to each others queries, just calling in and getting on line to some of the power-brokers and media elite's is reason enough to have fun with this. How often do you get to speak directly to a senator with an audience listening in? Washington Journal has to be one of the best programs allowed, and I'm surprised they've let it go on as long as it has. Could you imagine that if we became the same force on C-SPAN that we became on OEN that they might change policy there too? Even take it off the air?
Point is that we reach a relatively massive audience. And we can use that to drive people to this site, or any place else we choose.
I just thought that if we're about informing people that we could use the collective knowledge that we have here to do that by using every tool available. C-SPAN is one of those tools. And we best use it while we still can.
No matter what question was asked, those of us that get on afterward could give a follow-up, expand, or do whatever is necessary to expose the politician, journalist, or whomever if they try to skate the answer, or answer incorrectly.
Besides, you get to use a little bio-feedback by listening to yourself verbally giving them hell.
