The Toronto G20 Police State Crackdown

By Dana Gabriel

It appears as if the G20 summit in Toronto is shaping up to be a showdown between anarchists and police. Caught in the middle of the security circus are local residents. If there is violence and property damage, peaceful protesters will also be demonized. The recent bombing of a bank, perpetrated by a so-called anarchist group, has given an excuse to enact more police state measures during the summit. The curious timing of the attack emphasizes the threat of terrorism and further justifies the huge security apparatus being assembled.

Queen’s Park North is now the location of the designated demonstration area during the G20 summit. It was changed after residents opposed a plan to use Trinity-Bellwoods Park. Some activists reject the notion of an official protest site, but if they choose to gather elsewhere it could lead to arrests. Ultimately, police tactics and behaviour will play a big part in determining the outcome of any protests. The Canadian Civil Liberties Association stated, “Freedom of expression is protected throughout Canada: our country, and all of Toronto is a ‘free speech zone.’ Protesters cannot be prevented from demonstrating outside of the‘designated demonstration area,’ particularly when the area set aside is situated in a place that is so remote from the meetings that protesters cannot be directly seen or heard by the leaders. All protesters voices need to be heard, but they must remain peaceful as any violence will taint their message and provoke a police response.

  1. Whether agent provocateurs or lunatics, they win.
The artful use of false flag and AP's are the best tool for the Grunion along with fearmongering and alpha play-doh mind molding on MSM.

It occurs to me sometimes where they get all these additional police. COPSrUS? Nice to see you Peter. Thanks for the post.

I second Puddy's "Nice to see you Peter" comment.

Is it just me, or does the concept of "designated protesting zones" rankle your nose?

It is a marginalizing, a neutering, a de-fanging, a "cone of silence" of Free Speech that might have some bite to it!

Just reading about this authoritarian ploy pisses me off to no end. "Alright you losers, assemble into a line, and march off over behind those dumpsters 2 clicks away. Sure, buddy, there'll be some press there to record your groanings. snicker, fart...

It is about control plain and simple. Just an extension of the airport security cattle corrals. Yep, crowd control. Plus dissonance and dissidents control. These fuckers hide their immoral planning sessions behind a cloak, and then sharpen their daggers with glee as there is no one allowed to question their sociopathic wetdreams.

Anyways, I just had to get that off my chest. As you know, thought and mind control are interweaved in this sick societal planning program, and I just want to turn it OFF!

As an addendum, I don't like cops or anyone else screaming in my face shouting out orders. And apparently, if a civilian responds in kind or ups the volume it is "resisting arrest". These guys are Too High to even have a clue about legitimate resistance to unlawful acts.

Bull Shit tactics -----> here's an arrow in their ear.

Americans have forgotten a lot of things that are reality -- like what it means to be a Sovereign citizen, instead of sheep.

  6. fenced in "free speech zones" are what "free speech" is about in the new Amerika, especially under the thumb of Cass Sunstein & soon to be supreme court justice Elena Kagan.

Good to see ya Peter :)

  7. talk about draw a line in the sand. here...you can speak.
    there you can not.
in a nation with actual laws mandating free speech this is..ludicrous and illegally controlling a right.
the politically correct drive, just what fuckwit started and kept that going?
and I personally think that keeping any dissenters away is criminal, if that bunch of gits want to make rules affecting the nations lives, then they! can wear the publics opinions of their rulings and the reaction to them.
    democracy?
    umm, where???
