Texas Goes Bust, Or Does It ?

It was just announced Monday that Texas is looking at an 18 billion dollar revenue shortfall. Retail sales have slumped regardless of the mass media announcing "recovery". State employees will go on a four day work week, yada yada yada.

I for one know that Texas is not broke. We have just seen austerity in  Argentina,Iceland and Greece so the proles here must be skull-washed to accept the coming new taxes and tax increases to fund the continued looting by the reigning elite.Bad news is getting back to Me weekly. Mom sells three days a week at San Antonio flea markets.  Sellers must pay 25 bucks to get a space. Those without cash leave their drivers license to pay the fee from their sales of the day. Many leave without their license or any profits for the day. Trying to function without ID will make their tortured existence even more difficult. One man angry from the lack of purchasers got in his truck and drove over his merchandise and left it all behind, the scavengers were quick to pick it all up. More and more of the sellers are in foreclosure.Buyers from Mexico are not arriving like they have for years, complaining of interrogations and harrassment by customs and immigration at the international bridges and the highway checkpoints.

The human cost will be great. My mother attended school in the early 30s without shoes wearing a dress made from a flour sack. She had no pencil, paper or crayons so she had to beg for what she needed, adding to the humiliation. The Oklahoma plains were a rather bleak place to exist. My grandmother's neighbor had a chicken. She dropped a trail of corn kernels while walking home one day leading into the house. When the chicken came through the door its fate was sealed as gramma slammed the door shut. Sort of like how the owners close the door on credit to induce a "1929" or a "2010" depression. My mom long remembered that chicken dinner. Bon appetite David Rockefeller.

My uncle,My moms brother told Me how he went to school barefoot one day. A teacher saw him playing in the frozen puddle ice with his toes. The teacher immediately walked him to another school where he was given a pair of old red sneakers from the school gym. The sneakers were way too big for him but he wore them anyway. The athletes foot infection he got from them bothered him for decades. Uncle curses FDR to this very day. Our children will curse Obama.

  1. John mnay of us baby boomers are clueless. The generation X is out to lunch and anyone born after that is just naked prey for this 29 depression.

The dust bowl was a world of its own in the 30's. Talk about the grapes of wrath now and try to go to California to find a job picking anything.

They are paying even less that 5 years ago and jacked up food prices as i predicted. It's going to be worse for our ONE HIT WONDER before he slithers out.

I went to buy green peppers and decided to forgo the 2 for $4 price. I worked at American Foods in Palm Beach. Tomatoes, Cukes and Peppers. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay $2 a pepper.

FDR screwed America for a dozen years and between Clinton and Obama for 12 of their years, they have met his mark.
