More spam from the normals...

Ever vigilant to the crushing events of history, the tunas spawned the following e-virus:
DON'T BUY PEPSI IN THE NEW CAN!
> Don't buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new 'patriotic' can
> coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building , and the
> Pledge of Allegiance on them.
> However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge,
> 'Under God.'
> Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone
> In that case, we don't
> want to offend any one at the Pepsi corporate office, either!
> So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended
> when they don't receive our money that has the words
> 'In God We Trust' on it.
> HOW FAST CAN YOU FORWARD THIS ONE?
Thanks for the email virus, dickhead. I can reply even faster.
As long as I can remember, there has been bullshit "posturing" that is mistaken for "belief." The normals’ chest-thumping spam about "god" on cola cans is another important sign... yet another way to posture- look- see how "pious" i am? see how "patriotic?" If character is defined by what you do when no one is looking... in means that the normals’ beliefs are not beliefs at all... but "packaging," but more important- they can't possibly tell the difference.
The only "belief" (packaging) is this: “I am normal- whatever THAT is. I don’t want to “get in trouble," I AM NORMAL. Naturally normals don’t want to think of themselves as conformist drones... because they are taught that they are "special individuals." So they find a safe off-the-shelf "identity ," one that is pre-packaged FOR them... a Harley rider... Republican, Democrat, or a Pepsi drinker... or the best one of all: a "sports fan."
Oh, they're "free" to be a Colts fan or a Bears fan... as long as they agree that anybody who isn't into "sports" is a fag, probably a commie terrorist. The worst encounter you can have with normals is at kids’ soccer games… where you’ll see a bunch of screaming adults... watching CHILDREN... playing a GAME. “Winning” is everything in the land of Cupcake Darwinism.
Nothing… repeat… NOTHING is more important than your own “rational” self- interest. That’s the trap. The normals have been taught that being a self-centered short-sighted greed-head is “normal,” in fact it’s healthy. More than that, if you pretend anything else is true, you’ll screw up the entire spreadsheet and contribute to the rise of despotism and oppression. “Human beings will always betray you. You can only trust the numbers.” Check out Adam Curtis’ documentary, The Trap.
Try any other way to obtain “maximum leverage,” and “it’s the end of the world as we know it.” For a while, the normals were “conservatives” until Goldwater was a loser, than they were Reagan conservatives because Ronzo was a “winner,” but those people morphed into “neo-conservatives,” the Newtsters and all that. Now they’re “Ron Paul supporters” because they like being “athletic supporters.” If you think they’re just inventing a bunch of bullshit rationalization for being assholes, they got a message for you: “Fuck you, Buddy!” Because you aint “normal,” you FREAK.
So "boycott" Pepsi because they don't put god on the can... so don't let "them" have "your money;" classic normalthink: doing something that's totally ineffectual about something that's totally meaningless and feeling like you're "doing something" other than unconsciously posturing to show your alleged piety patriotism hard work honesty toughness bla bla bla. Which is why the silly-ass "god" thing got into the silly-ass "pledge" that the old Union veterans insisted every kid parrot so they wouldn’t have to go thru all THAT shit again.
All what shit? The shit that happened because of a pre-emptive counter-revolution to a "revolution" that was simply "evolution" away from a status-quo that no longer worked. Like slavery. Like war. Bah. Welcome to the Idiocracy.
Laughable? Yes. Harmless? Not really. It is not too many steps from the phony piety of e-mail spam to the evangelical coup in the US Air Force, dropping cluster bombs for Christ. Twit-brained theology serves the Monarch of muddle-brained "free-market" economics. Are we to be the fat Weimar Republic Jews laughing at the gaunt goose-stepping fringe group who call themselves "National Socialists?"
We are in for a rude awakening.
You nailed most of this Waldo, and had me laughing all the way. But I do think Ron Paul/Kucinich/Nader agree with each other more often than with any of the "normals" and, unlike the Weimar era, we see what's coming pretty clearly.
ReplyDeleteYou've picked the perfect weapons: satire and ridicule. They can't deal with it at all!
Wow, it's my good friend, buddy christ! Anyone else see the movie "Dogma?" It's one that I bought. I still watch it every now and then when I need a good laugh. It was George Carlin at his best. And he didn't even swear. He was a cardinal or something. High muka muka type with a lolo fringe :)
ReplyDeleteWaldo, I have a cousin who consistently sends me emails about god and supporting the troops and ain't it awful that the heathens don't want "in god we trust" on their money or the ten commandments in their township buildings. Except for sending me such annoyingly junkie emails, he's really quite intelligent and funny and likeable. Knowing this helps me to understand just how conditioned Americans are. They've been trained to sweat the small stuff so they don't complain about the big stuff and bother the real "gods" that steal their money and their civil liberties.
ReplyDeleteWould it really make a difference in their lives or their family's lives if they took "in god we trust" off their dirty money? No of course not. But it's much easier to focus on that than the fact that every day their "in god we trust" money is being used to burn tiny children in Iraq and Afghanistan to a crisp with american made bombs.
Yes, not dwelling on those atrocities sure makes it easier to wave those tiny american flags made in china. I get lots of patriotic emails about those too.
Waldo, you owe me damages:-)
ReplyDeleteI hurt myself laughing so hard:-)
patriot cola, ...
what ever adman thought that one up?
What moron in Pepsi thought it was a great way to up sales...?
I guess all the "patriotic" rubbish is good advertising, too, as it rolls round in the gutters..
Wasteful use of limited aluminium supplies, cans lined with toxic BPa, full of HFCS phosphorus and excessive caffeine..
HMM? actually:-) we should be encouranging the Over the top gullibles to drink more!!
One way to remove them, and as self inflicted injuries to boot:-) as they loose limbs to diabetes they will be unable to participate in their marches and tub thumping..
I was hoping to avoid offending any "Paulistas" who may be here... REAL "libertarians" whom I believe are misguided... but I still respect.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing but contempt for the personality-cult "Paulitos," (little Paulies) who are simply neocons in drag... parroting some claptrap "ideology" (like the Xians) that they think justifies their being complete assholes.
You are right, laudyms... in essence- what Paul/Kucinich/Nader are saying has much in common. I think kindly old Dr. Paul needs to spend at least a year in the bowels of a Fortune 500 Corporation. THAT might revise his "free market" is the solution to everything claptrap.
As a "Green who is beginning to see Red," when Dr. Paul started harping against the "collectivists," he lost me. We do not have 150 years to "debate" about the Green direction. The future WILL be green... whether it is a sustainable society or grass among the ruins.
And you are right... COTO sees what's coming. So did a number of Germans (not just German Jews) in 1933. But as a percentage of the population, we are heartbreakingly small. If "it" is so damned "obvious..."
...why can't more people see it?
