'And whether pigs have wings'; Part 1: Something Wicked This Way Comes

[caption id="attachment_17043" align="aligncenter" width="100" caption="Don't Be an Ostrich...No One Wants to See Your Dumb Bum!"][/caption]

(Editor's Note: The point of this piece is an attempt to wake up those of you that are not exactly sure what I mean when I bring up the "Dumbing Down" of America. This will be Part 1 of a series through which I will try to enlighten you to a far larger, and much more insidious conspiracy that is intended to take absolute control over you, everything you have, and every thing you do. We have to take this journey one step at a time so as to keep it from becoming "overwhelming". In this part I will try and exhibit the fact that some of the things you are absolutely sure of are absolutely wrong.- JSB)

There is Help for the Learning Disabled -- and it starts with them "pulling their head out..."! Out of what, the crowd crows! You'll only know 'what' when you begin comparing what you know, to what you've been told, to what's been said, to what might just shake up your ideas of truth, mischief, and the totally made-up revisionist "history stew" we've been served at Bob's Big Boy Buffet. This here is a starting point to "waking up". I'm sure you know some ostriches. Help em out, and send em the Link!

  1. Hmmm...no comments. Slow Mon day I guess. O.K., for shitz @ gobbles read this piece by Matt Taibi -- http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/blogs/taibblog/everything-you-need-to-know-about-wall-street-in-one-brief-tale-20120113#ixzz1jTrxP6Yu

For all your ostrich friends who are happily grazing, let em know corruption erupted a long time ago, and the shitz storm they're about to be engulfed by from all fronts is endemic in the Used 2B Free nation.

  2. I had a hard time getting on COTO from Home Boom.
I would click on Blog, and get the list. But when I clicked on the title, it would run the green ticker dots quickly like it was loading, and then, Nuthin. After several tries I right clicked and clicked on Open In A New Window. That's how I just got here...

Thought I'd let you know as others may be having the same difficulty.

All in all, it has been a very fucked up web day for me here....

  3. "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men."~Woodfuck Wilson

Well Boom, Silverbear has written a mighty fine essay there. Thanks for posting the attatchermento.

As we can see, we have about a century and a half to discard if we are ever to get to the real body of our displeasure.

My take on it, is there is going to have to be a real shake-up before there is a wake-up. As in all these types of shake-ups the ball goes in play, and the wheel of fate is given a furious spin. And of course 'round and 'round it goes, and where it stops nobody knows.

Said another way, "Everybody knows the dice are loaded - everybody rolls with their fingers crossed."

So now we see that it is the house itself that is going to give that wheel a ferocious spin...now we'll mix our metaphors once again and say; we shall see if the Big Boy can keep the bat away from his pinata.

All is in flux - nothing is determined.

Maybe that's why they call it "craps" eh?

Sorry your internet experience was "craps" today. Better luck Twosday.

Glad you liked the Silverbear's essay. I thought it offered a healthy dose of antivenin. Ya know? I prefer my "history" to be real. "Fake" history, or Lies, as some folks call that shit ain't worth a plugged nickel. The only trading post for that coinage is at the Company Store.

  5. That's a well put together article by Mr Bear. Excellent eye opening information for the average sheeple. I'd love to send it around to everyone. Unfortunately, for the sheeple I know, they wouldn't bother to even scan the article once they got what it was about or if they did, halfway through I imagine them saying oh this is bs ct stuff.

    That's the dilemma we're in isn't it?

  6. Thanks for hopes of a better Twosday Boom...part of the funk is the gray weather. The gray trees that are just a collection of twisted bare sticks.

And this "high tech" that seems more like voodoo. Nothing makes technical sense. It's like my mood effects the machine, then the machine's mood effects me - it's almost like being married to some sci fi robot dealing with this damn thing...and the net...all the buttons and flashing adds and needless crap that loads BEFORE the meat of an article - IF the article ever loads....on and on it goes....everybody knows.

And this cornhole political game...everybody gearing up for the BIG GAME...people taking this shit serious...???

Goadgawd y'all, Amerika just gives me the heeber jeebers and the joojoobee clapflakes. It's like drinking a coke and seeing a decaying rats skull in the bottom of the bottle.

I called my Congressman and he said quote; I'd like to help ya pops but yer to old to float...

Cheeeze...even slapstick would be better than this.

  7. That's the dilemma sweetheart and the only abeyance seems to be each other here - to rest our weary souls and pout when the maddening crowd lets their collective fart fill the arena.

Escape to the fresh air of COTO.

  8. "Before the first bomb falls disinformation specialists prepare the ground. Leading media outlets, foreign policy journals and a plethora of think tanks funded by elite foundations, energy and weapons' conglomerates, "right," "left" or "center" take your pick, churn out war propaganda disguised as "analysis."

From the neoconservative American Enterprise Institute (AEI) to the neoliberal Center for American Progress (CAP), rhetorical skirmishes aside, the line is remarkably similar. Indeed, for "conservative" and "liberal" elite bloviators alike, Iran poses an "existential threat" to Israel and America's regional "allies," a disparate crew of land-grabbing colonizers, murderous princes and profligate potentates."~Tom Burghardt - Global Research

  9. why is it that so many "libertarians" are neo-confederates? this is only a light skip away from being a teapotter.

been a Silver Bear reader for a long time. for one thing, it was among the first blogsites to see through the 911 false flag. HOWEVER... into the mix goes things like, "The War of Northern Aggression had nothing to do with slavery." whoops. like reading most of his stuff... right... right... whoops... wrong. wrong. totally wrong. crackpot wrong... sorta... well, yeah. right.

never expect to agree with everybody on everything. BUT- when the wrong stuff so totally overwhelms the right stuff- it makes it difficult when the writer approaches something the reader knows less about. example- i don't know doodle about "secret societies," but know quite a bit about the second US "civil war" (the first- of course- being the "revolution").

that's why i have never cited Silverstein - but cite Taibbi often- who does NOT buy into the "inside job." it's a balance... like the Nazis practicing enlightened forestry... pioneering early child care... but whoops- there's that pesky genocide thing...

  10. Something odd about this link. Hmmm.

When in 1976 the Kennedy Church commission formed to "in your face" the MK Ultra program, it obseesed that the program cancelled when in fact it was pushed offshore in a similar rendition style manner.

Operation Dormouse was in fact the dumbing of the masses prior to the committee. It remians the highest of the MK projects which included the MEDIA consolidations and all the Alpha-beta images, frequencies, propaganda, dis-info programs.

Nothing nonsensical about Dodgson, the mathematician, metaphysicist, photographer, pedophile. He was a master illusionist.

`You might just as well say,' added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, `that "I breathe when I sleep" is the same thing as "I sleep when I breathe"!'

We have the Mad Hatter Tea Party, the coming of the March Hare and the dormouse public asleep at the wheel. What could the looking glass tell us that it already hasn't? "Feed your head, feed your head"

  11. And just where did you study about the Civil War Waldo? Academia?

That is the problem about knowing diddly squat about secret societies. For it is the secret societies that manipulate academia's take on history.

Why don't you break down and read Antony Sutton's, SKULL AND BONES? It's free as a PDF on the web. Silverbear gave you a hint in his article; about the American Historical Society.

The Nazis "pioneering early child care" - that is where kindergarten comes from - indoctrination at the earliest age - Prussian military indoctrination...that isn't freaking "childcare" dood, it's fucking brainwashing.

If you take this as "kicking you"...it is only to try to kickstart a part of you that isn't cluing in. Take it as you will, but don't be insulted, I don't mean it as an insult.

  12. I saw the Airplane live in Houston around 67, they did White Rabbit of course. One of the best tunes from them. They were good live.
Houston was a very weird place to be in 1967. Oh, there were plenty of hippies, but the overwhelming majority of folks were rabid nutballs, especially the pigs. Had some dealings with them up-close and personal as well.

Great hearing the song again Puddy, thanks.

  13. None taken. Kindergarten dates back to 1837... but deutsch Kultur is another story.

"Secret societies:" my father, grandfather and great grandfather were Masons. I got started in DeMolay but quit right away because it seemed kinda silly. "Skull and Bones" is more of that frat-boy networking shit that does not interest me much... other than an example of how rich shitpokes work and connect.

Been reading about the US civil war since I was 12 and visited all the major battlefields many times. Had a great^3 grandfather who fought for the Union army, captured at Wilderness and escaped from Andersonville Prison. But I love the South. Lived there for a few years. Yeh- took some graduate classes on sectionalism and the Civil War. Anybody who says it "...had nothing to do with slavery" is either being polemic or just plain stupid. To say Lincoln was "pro-slavery" is patently absurd. At worst, he was ambivalent about it (as were most Northerners prior to 1852). I have read damn-near every surviving text written by Lincoln.

Scruggs as a "historian" is a joke. His "un-civil war" is marketed to christian home-schoolers and is a prime example of trying to shoe-horn "facts" into a "belief system." He is a raving "anti-marxist" who knows absolutely nothing about "socialism" and writes like a cold-war relic. Parsons appears to take him seriously, and that's a kinda credibility-buster. That's ALL I'm sayin.

The Romantic Tragedy of the US Civil War is exceeded in the euro-world in scope and complexity only by the Gothic Horror of the WW1-2 event, and I have been reading about the Nazi-time (and have more invested in it) for equally as long. As a day-gig academic, I have a real problem with contorting facts into belief-systems. It is intellectually lazy at best... and at worst a dangerous and evil scam. An honest academic does their best to resist this.

Thus I have a deep regard for Lincoln... not as a "politician," (although he was a very good one)... but as one of the greatest American public intellectuals. He was one of the greatest minds of the 19th century, and it is rare when we EVER get such a mind applied to "politics." His Gettysburg Address is a Bach fugue of hermeneutics in the English language, so I naturally resent hacks like Scruggs biting at his august ankles.

Hope eye splained that to ye good enuff, wildroot.

  14. I appreciate your thoughtful and well put reply Waldo.

I am personally not invested in the "War of Northern Aggression" position - but am rather in between the standard pop history view and that one...and have read many accounts from various angles.

No doubt Lincoln was an intelligent man. Intelligence alone isn't a hallmark of being good or evil - we both know that.

I am more tended towards the pressures of intrigue by the money powers that used a divide and conquer scheme against the North and South. There are many complex issues here, and cut and dried, simplistic answers will not do.

I am of the opinion however that regardless of all of these other complexities, that the States did have the same rights to secession from the Union as the Colonies had in breaking their ties to the British governance - in other words, regardless of high legalistic rhetoric, and complex jabberwacky:

If one takes the Declaration seriously, one must grant the right of the states to break such bonds on the same reasoning. And here is where I am in agreement with the argument that the war did nothing but bring about a precedent for tyrannical oppression, the end of the Republic and the seeds for the monstrous empire now manifest.

  15. Houston was strange 1975-1983. Big Contra-band, S&L money flowing and a serial killer running around cutting womens heads off and taking their shoes.

    Crazy times. I survived. :)
