Actually they threatened to "call the authorities" on us to which I begged them to do. I would have LOVED to have been arrested at a Tea Party event for exercising my first amendment rights.
What made it even funnier is that the lady that asked us to leave didn't recognize me until after she approached us and said we had to leave or put our shirts on inside out. She got completely flustered. I guess I must have stood there for a good 10 or 15 minutes going on about her justifying trashing our 1st Amendment Rights and not a one of the 60-odd other TP comrades came within 20 feet of us as I was giving her and the TP a verbal tongue-lashing.
Then I made a big deal out of saying we'd leave on one condition, that she take a DVD of 9/11 Mysteries and share it with some of her co-patriots and that the next time I saw her we'd talk about it.
And there will be a next time. Because this cartoon is hitting the streets this week and some 50K people are going to see it, and the next time I'll show-up with 40 of us, and we aren't leaving.
We then went down to the French Quarter and had a wonderful day passing out material, and then several bands were playing in the park, and all and all, it was a good day for the good guys.

MI5 soon 'turned' them, assigning them their codenames, which were the names of a pair of cartoon strip characters (see Mutt and Jeff). 'Mutt and Jeff' is also rhyming slang for 'deaf'.
Mutt and Jeff's mission was supposed to be one of sabotage, as well as having a secondary intelligence role, reporting via wireless military locations, deployments and civilian morale. MI5 used Mutt and Jeff's radio sets to relay false information, leading the Germans to believe that the United Kingdom intended to invade Norway (this activity was a component of Operation Fortitude).
Sounds very similar to our sept 11 in DC, with tea baggers saying we had to leave their little soiree. "We have a permit" "Let us see it" "We'll get the cops" "Please do"
