Habit

copied from justice-publications.com

Much of the problem in the world is caused just by habit.

If you feed a cat chicken-liver once, the cat will demand chicken-liver for just so long as you are daft enough to provide it.  When you finally get sense enough to withdraw this unnecessary luxury, you will find that said moggie will try every trick in its book to blackmail, browbeat or cajole you for three or four days to restore its preferred diet.  After all, it is used to having chicken-liver, and how can a poor cat possibly do without it?  But after that time, it comes to its feline senses and will eat whatever you care to give it, and will be equally grateful for it.

Humans are much the same.  'Our Royalty' and 'leaders' demand respect and riches, and to be waited on hand foot and finger, and we are fools enough to give it to them, thus enabling to reap richly off their 'subjects' those who institute and pay 'royalty and leaders' just for that purpose.

Those who accustom you from cradle to grave to believe in the fiction of finance, likewise do very nicely thank you off the scam that their forebears invented to reap off our innocent forebears of those days, and you haven't learned enough in five thousand years to put a stop to them once and for all.

Similarly, the Rothschilds and their equally verminous Rockefeller in-laws have been richly taking for two and a half centuries from humans made and kept dumb by their increasingly stultifying 'education' system, so-arranged for that specific purpose - To such an extent that the world is now impoverished, these parasitic lice rule all our administrations and are so 'rich and powerful' that they and their accomplice friends think they can play God and wipe the majority of us off the face of the earth as being unnecessary to their fictitious 'economy' that has enabled their plunder.

Don't you think we should take away their chicken-liver toys and give them all an extended period of privation and hardship to bring them back to their senses?  This is not hard to do.  You just have to break your habit of obedient subservience and effectively replace the bribed officials and arrest the criminals who corrupt them.  Or are you just so irretrievably stupid that you are willing to let them continue riding rough-shod over you all?

Er, I didn't catch that. - Are you?

For those who habitually ridicule any attempt to offer a solution to replace our present corrupt incumbents, to make and keep our public servants our servants in fact instead of our masters, it should be realised that the failure to remedy the situation is ours and yours.  It is we in our argumentative cynicism and apathy who are at fault, and that is a matter for shame rather than pity.

So if you can't countenance what is suggested, then offer something which is practically better.  But work at it, otherwise you are co-operating with the hyenas in their predation on the rest of us, and that will not cease until you, too, have been eliminated.

I just posted a comment to Mr. M.'s comic odf a few days past and thought I would mention it here.

I had a very similar experience w/tea baggers at the Washington Monument on Sept 11 and it got covered by Mother Jones:

  6. Pau Garcia i Quiles, Thank you for truly nicely thought out ideas.
There is a poster on the sister site COTO1 who also has "a great plan".
    Both, if I may put it in allegory, are very much like this;

You say you are thirsty? Well the faucet is right over there. We look where you point and see the water faucet in a cage made of stormfencing topped by barbwire, there is a guntower with several guards with machineguns. Also in the area leading up to the fence are several dead bodies blown to bits because it is a mine field. I try to move closer through a large crowd of people who are rude and unmovable. I say excuse me, I want to get a closer look at that faucet.
They laugh and say, "What faucet?"
I say it's just over there..."
Then they get really pissed and start calling me a 'conspiracy theorist', a dirty terrorist'.
The crowd starts to get really ugly when I say, "All I want is a drink of water".
"What water???" they scream, "There's NO SUCH THING AS WATER".

I get away with minor bruises...but I am still thirsty.

Gliese 581g, has a mass three to four times that of Earth and an orbital period of just under 37 days, is orbiting in the middle of the "habitable zone" of the red dwarf star Gliese 581, which means it could have water on its surface. It is only 20 light years from Earth.
Pantheism recognizes and glorifies the Universe or Physical World as the body of God. Without this body, there could not be life or existence. How is it that worshiping the Universe or Pantheism, which is necessary for life, is evil?

I have a few better ones w/the wash. monu. as a backdrop and part of the colorful crazy crowd. (and my face not shoved up there).

Most of the folks just gave us a silent thumbs down, some as mentioned got all hot and bothered. But a few actually were supportive, asking questions and accepting our pamphlets.

We are doing it again this Saturday for some big liberal/progressive/labor deal supposed to draw many hundred thousand. Curious if they are any more receptive.

  14. Flak,

In fact, what I had to say about your Jejune and mediocre vagueness as per 'what to do about' It was true.

What all of us already grasp as the problem, is the only meat in what you have to say.

The part of what to DO about it is again, nothing but generalization based on grandiose delusions that there is some adequate force of animation from these pages.

That my saying this, brings out your Stalinist urges to silence any question or opposition is most telling.

    You have shown your hand.

Yours is a minor case of megalomania. It is fortunate for the world that you don't have a position of real power.

  15. Flak, one more thing, you seem not to see yourself in the analogy of the 'water faucet' I gave.

Don't you see that that is what you are doing?
We ask for water, and you say it's right over there.

I note, that you note all the conditions bearing on the position of the faucet, and ask, what about all those guys, and you say, just tell them to charge the machine guns, that some “we” will choose who is a representative to lead this daring charge of the light brigade.

And you balk when I say, ahh...that isn't going to fly.

Why? because all of us here have been that guy who spoke to the crowd at some point in our lives, and came home bruised and thirsty from the confrontation.

The point is, you have to have the crowd behind you before the staging area is approached.

I only ask you, where is your crowd.

  16. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-segal/stop-the-internet-blackli_b_739836.html

President Obama admonishes oppressive regimes for their censorship of the Internet, a group of powerful Senators -- Republicans and Democrats alike -- have signed onto a bill that would vastly expand the government's power to censor the Internet.

The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) was introduced just one week ago, but it's greased and ready to move, with a hearing in front of the Judiciary Committee this Thursday. If people don't speak out, US citizens could soon find themselves joining Iranians and Chinese in being blocked from accessing broad chunks of the public Internet.

COICA creates two blacklists of Internet domain names. Courts could add sites to the first list; the Attorney General would have control over the second. Internet service providers and others (everyone from Comcast to PayPal to Google AdSense) would be required to block any domains on the first list. They would also receive immunity (and presumably the good favor of the government) if they block domains on the second list.

See what an uproar censorship brings Flak.

  17. Not at all. I am editing you for your apparently irrepressible rudeness.

You seem to forget that when you try to insult me or anyone else here for having opinion other than what you care to approve, you are really insulting not us, but yourself. You are showing us what a throughly nasty piece of work you are and letting down the site and demeaning all who write here. - Or are we out here to construe that this is what 'being American' is, in the same way that America tells the world what to do, think and say, and how to live, otherwise we are 'with the enemy'?

I am editing you, not censoring you, as you try to censor us by vomiting a wash of your attempted insults on us.

I keep telling you, if you have reservation about anything I say, then, instead of sitting on your backside and spitting at us, suggest something better or more practical. But you just loll there vomiting your spleen at us and saying that we know nothing about 'history', of which by inference you are a master.

Remember that when I suggest a fund to pay for a practical opposition to operate in OUR favour to counterbalance the assassination squads that already operate all around the world against US, it is you who rather too immediately jump in with DANGER DANGER DANGER.

So get off your mental backside, be constructive and produce. Otherwise I tell you and all who read here that it is you who are censoring fair opinion by your ever-present probably-sixty-percent-of-all-input-here censorious attitude. The present lamentable situation is what we have as a result of everyone doing what you so far suggest, which is sitting there and doing nothing.

So, Mr. Whitten, I am asking you: what do YOU suggest?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Flak, it isn't true you ever established your original solutions (such as drafting candidates) as pragmatic.
And then, you presented your ideas without room for disagreement, a tyrannical nonstarter for me. You censored Will instead of debating things rationally.
But, I'll bite one last time to your troll. My number one solution to the mess we are in is to spread the truth just like everyone here does one way or another.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Very well, I can accept your opinions, as courteously presented, (rather than any infantile 'nyer nyer nyer', closely followed by bile).

However, I would suggest that anything, including benevolent prescription of alternative, and resort to 'other means', is preferable to sitting waiting and democratically arguing in the cages of the slaughterhouse. I imagine that you, too, might even agree with that.

However, when survival is concerned, agreement and democratic consensus are secondary. And if you don't agree with that, then, though it will not be my concern, I wish you luck.

You say, "My number one solution to the mess we are in is to spread the truth just like everyone here does one way or another."

And this is absolutely it. All we can do is call the shots as we see them, spread the truth as we are convinced it is.

  33. Thanks, Flak, I'm backing up the truck for some of that luck you got.
As you and the COTO header point out, our survival is at stake and we look to be going down for a slow kill, so I hear ya about the urgency to break the trance and do something.
Some top down changes WOULD immediately self correct the system, for example doing away with the Fed and corporations, as you suggested, would really strike a blow to the hegemony of the money power. If we flipped the pyramid and planted that point on top deep into the earth it would look like modern art.
But that is unlikely to happen without a revolution of consciousness piercing the myths we live under. That liberation has always been underway in every age. It's under siege today, but liberation would only take a few more idiotic blunders by the top of the pyramid before the tipping point arrives and we're done with the deception.
Many are more afraid of real change (not Barry's kind) than of continuing in certain bondage. COTO knows...and we aren't afraid.

    Habit.
yes habit IS a serious problem,
what we think eat where we shop, what we read.
whats worse is the habit of belief that those in power that we habitually elect, are working with our interest in mind.
ok COTO isnt that dumb, but hell many are.
try and get someone to change one basic habit, a small thing like a brand change.
and you will see how big a fight we have on our hands.
humans do tend to be habitual critters, same as wild animals the tracks they take daily often make it easy for predators to lie in wait.
    we are doing the same.

Right, and too many are in the habit of obeying any command, as we see in the military all around the world, and even in employment in lousy commerce etc.

We should be saying, "Do what?" and where appropriate putting our fist down the throats of those issue such orders that we see creating and promoting such evil in the world and hanging those who originate them. Kind regards,
