Worldwide Food Survey

By Oz

This is an email I received today, it is funny till you stop and consider how close to reality is is! No idea who wrote it so I can't give credit where it's due.

Last month a world-wide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question asked was:-

"Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure because of the following:

In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant.

In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.

In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.

In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.

In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant..

In South America they didn't know what "please" meant.

In the US they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.

And Finally...........................

In Australia they hung up because they can't understand an Indian accent.

  1. Oz that's a good one. Funny but YES, it is also quite true.

  2. I agree with JG as to the general truth behind the humorous labels.

The UN, Unanimously Naive, Unsympathetically Nurtured or the Unconscionable Nefariousness, which better describes your view?

  4. Speaking of food

The incurious Americans haven't a clue as to pure horror we have created for the innocent people of Iraq, nor would many even care. It is the American way.

Roll out those lazy, crazy, hazy days of sum-mer, those days of soda and pretzels and beer . . . roll out those
